Dr. Calogero Mario Ippolito, MD

I talked to this guy regarding my mother. I live out of state and my first encounter with him was very negative. He started out by yelling at me after I asked my first question about her medication. When I attempted to ask questions during his diatribe, he told me that if I continued to talk over him that he was going to hang up. This guy does not listen to the concerns of family members. He’s rude and I almost got the impression it was because I was a female and that’s because he did not speak to my brother like that. I can’t rate his medical performance since he’s only been working in the office on Colvin for two months. I can say that I worked for 30 years in a hospital based medical school and have met a lot of doctors who are real jerks. This one rates at the top. Stay away. The office staff were great, though.

No stars the worst physician ever. How this man received his license is beyond me.

He diagnosed my mother with Frontal Lobe dementia that had been missed by three other M.D.'s Focused in on problem right away, explained the diagnosis and offered additional support by linking us up with Social work. He even addressed advanced directives and we eventually put my mother in his Skilled Nursing for comfort care where she was very peaceful...a very positive experience...thank you.

Excellent care for my mother.
