Dr. Calvin Richard Kurz, MD

By far the WORST ER Doctor I have ever dealt with. No empathy, seemed very annoyed, and had zero bedside manners. I was sent there by a doctor after having ultrasound and CT scan done at Chatt Imaging. When I arrived at the ER, this doctor was so rude to me and my family. Told us repeatedly they never received my images (which is a lie, because we spoke to Chatt Imaging next day and they pulled the time stamps for both times they had sent them...AND confirmed w the hospital's IT guy that they were definitely received), told us he trusts his people and basically walked out of room, rolling his eyes. He sent me home, I ended up at a different ER next day, where they found my falopian tube was dilated three times its size, filled with fluid, endometriosis had grown into my ovary AND into and around my appendix...and I was immediately taken into surgery. I will NEVER darken the doors of this ER again. I have never left a hospital with so much anxiety and feeling so helpless.

I went to the ER because the walk in clinic told me I needed scans done, I was in pain. The doctor came in took a seat and had the worst attitude possible. You could tell he didn’t want to even see me. Asking if I had been to my primary doctor. Then I had got scans done he said he found pneumonia in my chest but can’t diagnose me or prescribe me anything bc I’m not coughing and etc. I asked for my discharge papers showing my result from scan and him saying he can’t treat me even though he knew what it was and he refused and didn’t get another chance to see him because he kept sending in nurses. I then asked what about the pain I’m in what’s causing it? He looked me in my face and shrugged his shoulders and said yeah I don’t have a good answer for that! I don’t see how he still has a job honestly! I wouldn’t even give him a star for rating but unfortunately I have to just summit my review.

Absolutely the WORST ER Dr. I have ever encountered. I had a chemical inhalation situation and went to the ER for help. HE DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT ME. 2 days later my breathing became worse. I called my lung doctor to said I needed to go to the ER. I explained I had already been there and he sat across the room and said I’d be irritated for a few days WITH OUT EXAMINING ME. I had to have another Dr call the ER to make sure I was looked at. Fraudulent billing if you ask me.

Very unprofessional, lack of compassion, judgemental and rude. what can I say? I understand if you cannot diagnose problem, you can't find it, but you don't just throw up your hands and try to discharge a patient that cannot even stand to walk. Condescending attitude. Has a lot to learn and am sorry he tried to learn on me. Sad excuse for an ER DR.

My father came into the ED and they ordered a MRI. Dr. Kurz was asked by my father and mother to think about running a CT with contrast because another Doctor, a family friend and prior Dr of my father, treated him for blood clots and wanted to see if another had formed. Dr. Kurz acted like they were stupid for even asking and refused to do the test... Until the family friend Dr called the ED and told him to do it. They did the test and it came back negative, and even though Dr. Kurz had done nothing to help the situation or even found the problem, after 8 hours came into the room and said he was going to discharge him because there was "nothing more he can do." He was pretty much going to discharge an acute onset patient out of spite because his feelings were hurt because a real doctor called and told him what to do. My mom protested, and my dad's attending orthopedic specialist had him admitted. It has been 18 hours since this started and wee don't yet know what's wrong. But our… whole interaction with DR. Kurz was very unpleasant, and he really has a chip on his shoulder.
