Dr. Calvin Lamar Reid, MD

Dr. Reid is by far the most skilled doctor in Alabama.

I am not a patient but had to talk to him on a phone and he is very rude and expects everyone to read his mind. i am just glad that i don't have this guy as my doctor let alone have to deal with him everyday. I don't know how his wife deals with him.

I had Dr. Reed as my primary care physician for four years. He helped me find a cure for hepatitis C in Dothan Alabama. I had retired to Dothan after spending ten years of failing trial treatments for my illness with renowned physicians in the Saint Louis area. One could say that doctor Reed came along at the right time; however, I had decided the illness would end my life in a few years and did not have interest in my own recovery and Dr. Reid changed that. I found Dr. Reid to be competent and concerned with his patients’ lives. When it comes to dealing with diverse populations, however, I found Dr. Reid to be more or less provincial.

Very competent.He has been my go to Dr. for a very long time .

Dr. Reed took care of my mother. He came into her room and when I ask him if my mom was going to die. His smart answer was "everybody dies.' and he left. Mom passed a few hour later. To this day we have never seen or heard from him since that morning when he said "everybody dies". A doctor that doesn't care when one of his patient dies is not a doctor I would go too or recommend. He is uncaring I will never get over the way we were treated by him. I can't even give him star there are just too many good caring doctors out there, he is just not one of them.

Excellent Doctor. Finally found one that seems to genuinely care about me. Would never see anyone else.
