Dr. Calvin Pham Tran

Dr. Calvin is amazing. I'm so happy that I found such knowledgeable and comfortable doctor.

I have a complex diagnosis and I have seen quite a few quacks. Dr. Tran made me feel very hopeful. I immediately got a good vibe off of him. I struggle clicking with new drs and I think he could sense my anxiety. He slowed it down so I was able to regroup and get through the appointment feeling like someone had listened to what I had today and didn't minimize my concerns. He went through my medications and made sure that all of them would work together without any complications. He never made me feel like I wasn't in control. He made sure I understood everything. Dotted every 'I' and crossed every 'T' before I leaving. I didn't feel like I he was picking medications based off of the fancy swag bags he might have been given by some drug rep. More patient care versus fun trinkets!

Dr. Tran has been a God send! He has been treating my teenage son for about 4 years now and we feel such gratitude for his approach. His advice has always been appropriate and thought provoking. We came to him at a breaking point and almost totally hopeless. My son is now thriving and has been for a while. Dr. Tran has helped me to better understand my son and it has absolutely nurtured my relationship with him.

My encounter with Dr. Calvin Tran was terrible. He's very young and extremely arrogant. He repeatedly interrupted me. His misdiagnosis was way off the mark. Beyond that, he failed to provide accurate information for the informed consent process, downplaying the many risks of his treatment plan. His bizarre and pointless treatment approach, based on the misdiagnosis, led to the prescription of dangerous, unnecessary, and exorbitantly expensive off-label, unproven medication ($$$$). He tried to scare me and told me I'd never get better without it. I knew he wasn't worth listening to, and I suspected statements may have been influenced by something beyond my well-being. My suspicions proved correct when I discovered his ties to the company associated with the costly, off-label prescribed drug, exposing over 20 sponsored lunches in two years. I strongly advise finding someone trustworthy and competent for your healthcare needs—Dr. Tran does not fit that description.
