Dr. Cameron Saffer, MD

My partner was treated by Dr Saffer at the ER after suffering a serious dog bite. We were both shaken and scared from the experience and Dr Saffer was a calming presence. He was extremely kind to us and made us both feel at ease. We did have to wait quite a while but that was no fault of the doctor and he was very apologetic. Overall we could not have asked for a better doctor to help us through this traumatic event.

I had fallen on my ribs causing injury to my ribs and right side. Doctor was through and friendly enough. Ordered meds and let me leave feeling much better than when I came in.

Went into the ER late at night for severe and sudden throat pain causing vomiting and was seen by Dr. Cameron M Saffer at Providence Milwaukie ER. He closed the door to the exam room, interrogated me for five minutes in frustrated exasperation without even looking at my throat, and then angrily shone a bright light directly in my eyes. When I complained, he said "You can just be escorted out of the hospital if you don't want to be treated." I said, "I do want to be treated, it's just your light is very bright." He said, "If you don't like it, you're free to leave." Nervous at this point, I asked for a nurse to be present, and he said, "That's it, you're discharged" and he walked out. Five minutes later, two security guards showed up to walk me out. This was a complete looney-bin ER experience. This doctor is a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Angry, intimidating, demeaning, and never, ever should be allowed to treat vulnerable patients behind closed doors.
