Dr. Cameron G. Windham, MD

Cameron G. Windham, MD, is an internal medicine doctor who cares for adult patients. As a hospitalist, he diagnoses and treats a wide range of illnesses and injuries in the inpatient setting using evidence-based medicine and coordinates care with specialists. Always having his patients’ best interest at heart and honoring their wishes, Dr. Windham strives to make the hospital experience less overwhelming with clear, compassionate communication. Dr. Windham takes pride in helping patients improve during high-acuity situations and supports a smooth transition when they are ready to leave the hospital.

A Louisiana native, Dr. Windham earned his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from Louisiana Tech University, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical doctorate degree from LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine. Dr. Windham then remained at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport to complete his internal medicine residency, which included hands-on training …at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center and Overton Brooks Veterans’ Administration Medical Center.

Away from the hospital, Dr. Windham enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and doing outdoor activities. Some of his favorite memories come from childhood family trips – back when someone else did all of the planning.
