Dr. Camille Althea Russell-Mckesey, MD

After having a dr in Wichita that took months to get into and we had moved to butler county, a friend said she liked Dr. McKessey. She diagnosed me with PCOS, however, did not provide me any information on it, how to help symptoms, what I can expect or offer anything that could help. My husband and I wanted to try and have a baby, so I did a round of provera and clomid, I felt awful on both meds, did not ovulate or get pregnant, so I said screw it not doing it again. I ended up having a chemical pregnancy a couple months after that, and the staff was overly kind about it. However. Dr. McKessey told me there was “no way” it was a miscarriage in any form and that I was just having “a heavy period.” Even after I said I had a faint positive test a few days prior. When I told her I didn’t like how I felt on clomid she said “well when you’re desperate enough you’ll come back and take the drugs.” She prescribed me a birth control pill to take for 2 months and I was to call back in and get… provera after. This was after I said I didn’t like how i felt on either pill and she said “it’s just two months, you’ll be fine.” And that was it. No other suggestions or anything. At the time, I just went along with it, but a year later now and I’ve been reflecting, what she said and how she acted was incredibly rude and insensitive. I have changed doctors since and my new dr is amazing, thank goodness. I do not recommend McKessey, unless you like to be treated like an imbecile.

i am a knew ob patient with dr mckesey and she is lovely!! her ob nurse however is RUDE!! when you call and have a question she (the nurse) makes you feel stupid. i dont even want to speak with her when i call there. the receptionist is very gossipy also and talks about people as they leave. the ladies working in the back with the patients are great however! i wouldnt trade my doctor just because of a grumpy rude nurse and a unprofessional receptionist. maybe they will get rid of them! overall great doctor!!
