Dr. Caple Anthony Spence, MD

Caple Spence is a liar and a fraud. I have to give a one star but he does not deserve it.

Haven't yet had first appointment. Called to reschedule appointment and next thing I know I am being billed for a "no show". That's unacceptablr. Richard Heyn

Dr. Spence has always been honest and direct with me. I love a Dr that talks to you and not at you.

Had a 9:30am appt today and then waited 1 hr 10 mins past my appt time, while listening to him in the next room laughing, joking and talking with another patient. When I politely mentioned the wait time to the doctor, he did not apologize but instead told me he is "not McDonald's" and that if I didn't like it, I could leave. I left. He was arrogant and disrespectful.

A little over 4 years ago my 17 year old daughter went to Dr. Spence for decompression surgery. I will forever be grateful that he improved the quality of my daughters life. She is graduating with her Masters degree from OSU in December! Her Chiari is a symptomatic and life is good!

He took the time to explain everything and answer all questions. He went beyond the expected to explain until I was comfortable. From a miserable existence to pain free and promptly to avoid permanent damage. Nothing I could suggest for improvement.

I was referred to Dr. Capel Spence 2 or 3 years ago by my primary care physician.. I was very pleased with his treatment. He did not try to talk me into surgery but gave me the option. (My spine is in bad condition) He referred me to pain management and other treatments which we hoped would help. He was always so easy to talk to and I loved his manner. He even took time to talk to me and get to know about my daily habits. All his staff was also very pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was there at office in waiting room for 21/2 hrs. Never got to see the Dr. My appointment time was at 11. I got there at 10:45. Left at 1:45 and never got in for my appointment. No one ever said there was an emergency or anything so I ask. 1 receptionist looked and told me there was 1 more in the room and I was next. Another hour goes by and I ask again. The other receptionist said when he gets thru. She was very arrogant. I waited 45 minutes longer and went and told them to cancel me out. I would not ever do that again. They never said do you need anything or checked on me or told me anything unless I ask and never said there was an emergency. I could of understood that. But nope. I refuse to wait that long on a Dr again. He maybe a good Dr but not that good. Don't use him!!!!!!!!

I would NOT recommend Caple Spence to anyone! I went for an initial consultation and had to wait 2 1/2 hours past my scheduled time, only to spend about 5 ACTUAL minutes in a room where my concerns were ignored. In the "good doctor's" own words, "I don't see anything on the film, so you should be fine". It should be OBVIOUS that you are NOT going to see nerve damage or the pain a patient is talking about on a MRI or an X-ray. I decided to go to a different Neurologist and when I picked up a copy of the paperwork that Caple Spence had "filled in", half of the information that was written in the report had NEVER been done! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO SEE HIM!!

I am currently seeing Dr. Spence regarding my lower spine. Within the last year, he did surgery on my neck and for the first time in years, I am free of pain. His kind manner put me at ease immediately and his entire staff is nice and helpful. My family physician, who referred me to him, told me just yesterday that EVERY patient who he has referred to Dr. Spence had nothing but praise for him.
