Dr. Cara Louise Jakob, MD

Dr Jakob has been my doctor for about 7 years now. She has always had a great bedside manner, is always very thorough, and has always been able to help me when ever I had a health issue. As a former primary care office manager, I can see that the office is run very efficiently. There are a lot of components to running a drs office efficiently and there needs to be ample staff to do so. I have noticed Dr. Jakob has a large staff so that nothing is overlooked. I jumped on here to say how amazing her patient portal is. If I have a concern I am able to go on the portal and ask my question and Dr Jakob gets back to me herself and usually right away. I find this to be another amazing layer of service that Dr. Jakob offers her patients. It gives me a bit of peace to know I can reach out to her if I have a concern. I just finished writing her about something and just wanted to put it out here in case anyone is looking for a great doctor. I definitely recommend Dr. Jakob if your looking for a… new Primary care dr.

I use to recommend Dr. Jakob highly, however, the service has gone down hill and the cold uncaring attitude has become the norm. As long as you are not seriously sick go here, but if you need treatment, go somewhere else or risk becoming sicker.

Visiting from out of town and needed an appointment. My out of state insurance requires Prior Authorization for the appointment to be covered. The receptionist acted like I was crazy for asking. Its only a phone call and I work for a Dr.'s office and we do this all the time. Im considering moving here and reading the reviews I wanted to use this location as my primary health care dr. This lack of concern or help will definitely lead me to look for someone else when I do move.

Bed side manners are excellent from Doctor Jakobs and Stacey to MA's.

Me and my family had been going to Dr's Jakob care around two years. I did put up with there horrendus service until last week when I was harrassed and disrespected by the office manager "Mark" He assaulted me in the examination room, unfortunately there were no witnesses to his unprofessional behavior, also the nurses act like they are doing you a favor and you owe them something. They lied to me about test results, hung up the phone on me, extremely rude. What I went through in that office was unreal , unlawful and a nightmare. This people should not be in charge of anybody's health.

I see that some have written comments which make no since to me! We found Dr Jakob when we moved to clermont. We have been thrilled to find her. First visit she found my husbands skin cancer and rushed the results and we had surgery 5 days later. Saved him when we didn’t even know there was a problem. She has been my doctor and is always able to find my problems and fix them right away. She has found each one of my husbands and my health problems through Colin cancer and much more. Caring and kind when we were suffering so much. I have five other friends who have taken themselves and family to Dr. Jakob and all feel the same as my husband and I

Our family has been going to Dr. Jakob for the past ten years. She is our favorite doctor. She is very knowledgeable and caring, very bright as far as medicine goes, and she spends time with you, listens patiently, and explains things carefully. My wife was hit by an suto which lost control and hit her head on. Dr. Jakob's after care over a period of time was outstanding. We also always have found her staff pleasant and helpful. ~ Honestly, I do not know how anyone could write a negative thing about this marvelous doctor.

I am very particular when selecting my doctors. Prior to finding Dr. Jakob I visited three others that met my criteria to see if we clicked. I am confused about the negative reviews I have read and wonder if they went to the wrong office. I have seen Dr. Jakob for over ten years now and she is second to none. Her staff are all polite and professional and have always returned my calls in a timely fashion. Dr. Jakob is everything I would want in a physician. She is kind, intelligent, intuitive, and compassionate. She listens to her patients and responds thoughtfully. I would and have recommended her to friends and family. Simply put she is top notch.

I have been seeing Dr Jakob for over 3 years since moving to Clermont. It took me a while to get in as a new patient, which is the case with most GOOD doctors, but she is worth the wait. I looked for a good doctor like the one I previously had before moving and she met are exceeded that standard of care I expected. Every doctor is not for everyone but if you give her a chance she will definitely meet your standard of care. She’s very funny, kind and listens well to your concerns but will always recommend (not force) the best plan of care but you as a patient have to be honest and realistic with your expectations. Remember she does have the credentials and trained to give you a good plan of action for your healthcare needs. Having a primary care doctor is team work and willingness to be open to new approaches to medicine. She’s recommended vitamins to be also and guess what It worked and was cheaper than a prescription. Her staff is beyond kind and always willing to help and go… the extra mile. I must also say you may not like everyone in your work environment everyday but you continue to go to work everyday because the plan of action is in your best interest (the long term benefits) . Needless to say her office is generally packed with patients when I go and it’s not because there is a shortage of doctors in the area. She’s GREAT! Remember, Kindness is an art so let’s paint an honest and clear picture that we can hang on our walls and one day look back on and be proud. 5 stars

I called this office 10+ times trying to schedule a new patient appointment, and i was always tranferred to the "new patient coordinator" and was sent to voicemail every single time. I got a call back once, and i missed it due to being at work and not having my phone on me at the time. But i called back within 5 minutes of her leaving me a voicemail, and again no answer. I gave this office the benefit of the doubt because i usually called towards the end of the day or around lunch time. But after calling so many times i kind of expect an answer atleast ONCE! but no, no one answered the phone not one time when i called. Although this office is a good 45 minute drive from my house, I read very nice reviews on this doctor and office but after not even being able to speak to a live person to make an appointment i will find another doctor closer to home to go to because this is just unprofessional. I was really looking forward to coming here but i guess it wasnt meant to be.
