I waited nearly half an hour in the lobby, then another 45 minutes in the cold exam room while I heard staff members chitchat about local events and lunch plans. Nobody even took my blood pressure. I went in the corridor to see if they forgot me! I was admonished for questioning her, and fed a curt line about "emergencies". I said told her that nothing I overheard over the past hour sounded like anything urgent was happening, she coyly said she wouldn't discuss other patients. Had she just said she was distracted, or that nobody told her I was in there, I might forgive that, but to make up an emergency was not a good impression.
