Dr. Cara Beth Siegel, MD

after visiting ortho docs at this practice for bilateral knee problems, i was able to avoid surgery so far by utilizing their fine physical therapy services. they suggested that Dr. Siegel would be a good resource to look at my overall physical condition as it involved knee, hip, and back issues. Dr. S was very thorough and was immediately in the room to assess my condition. she had read my history and was prepared and listened and did a hands on exam to determine joint strength, movement, etc. she had xrays done and i waited less than 15 min. to get that done. Dr. S read them right away and displayed them and explained what she saw. her training to look at the overall situation rather than having three different orthos involved was such an asset. i would highly recommend this approach and found her to be gracious, personable and very knowledgeable. the wait time for she and her staff was much shorter than the other drs. that i have seen in this practice. i know you will be pleased… with she and her staff.

DR Siegel spent what I thought was sufficient time with me. She ordered X-rays then explained what she saw. She did a physical and decided an MRI was required. I don't need a doctor to be "nice", though that does make your experience better. She's not curt, just quick with a bit of a sharp tongue. I'm glad to have her on my team because she is no-nonsence and I feel she will take good care of me.

Dr. Siegel had 4 x-rays taken. Charged me for them. Did not share them with me, and clearly never looked at them herself! She had no interest in hearing what my symptoms were, nor did she want me to ask questions. She talked in circles when I did ask questions. I went seeking a diagnosis for a long time back issue that has gotten much worse over the past few years. She gave me no diagnosis, only told me to go to PT. Never telling me what exactly I was trying to accomplish. The lack of caring or any desire to actually help me was ridiculous. But I do need to state that everyone else I came in contact with at the office was very friendly & helpful. Also, after asking the Medical Assistant for the disc of my x-rays, I did walk away with them & was able to get a diagnosis from another Doctor partly due to the x-rays Dr Siegel ordered.

Dr. Siegel kept me waiting a minimum of 30 minutes, and up to an hour at a time for my appointments. She doesn't listen, makes up her mind very quickly. I became disillusioned with endless rounds of PT that didn't help my situation. Found better treatment elsewhere.

She seemed very concerned about processing patients as quickly as possible. As a result, she did not conduct a full interview, and did not have or even go over the x-ray that was taken, leaving the patient completely in the dark. She seemed more intent on making assumptions based on little data and checking off boxes than making sure her assumptions were correct. I had a previous history of pain in this area several years earlier including an MRI of the issue but she cut me off and did not want to hear about it. I won't be going back to her.

After more than a year of leg & hip pain and getting various diagnoses,I was referred to Dr. Seigel. On my first visit, she took a detailed history, did a thorough physical assessment, gave me an xray and diagmosed several problems with my aging spine. She treated me with oral steroids and referred me to PT. Only when that did not help much, did she reccomend a steroid injection. She was careful and caring throughout the procedure, which was painless and quick,and I was pain free for several months. She is an excellent diagnostician and willing to explain my condition and the various treatment options. I have confidence in her ability to appropriately treat me and feel fortunate to have finally gotten to the "right" doctor for my condition.

Dr. Siegel was very courteous and prompt with me. She made every effort to explain options for my treatment. Unfortunately, I chose physical therapy instead of the treatment she recommended and after three-months I was back to her and had the treatment that she initially suggested and I was able to function normally within two days. I would recommend her services to anyone. Why she should be rated so low by someone on this site is a mystery to me.

My experience with this doctor is that she does not give her patients a chance to speak. She is very assuming and rude. I felt very rushed through my appointment. She dismissed my severe pain and was condescending when I tried to ask any questions. I left the appointment with no diagnosis and no answers to the severe pain I was having. I am highly disappointed in her professionalism and bedside manner. I would look elsewhere for a doctor who cares. You will not be pleased.
