Dr. Caren Craig, MD

I am so excited to write a review about Dr. Craig! She was so friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Her physical exam and Pap smear were also very gentle. She made sure I was aware of her reasoning behind tests she ordered. She took my symptoms very seriously which is very important since I have had doctors tell me it was all in my mind which is one of the reasons I’m not a fan of the medical establishment. I was afraid to come to the gyn because I hadn’t been in years, but she did not make me feel awkward or ashamed. She had the most beautiful and big smile the entire visit. I am giving her five stars but wish I could give her the whole whole galaxy plus the moon!

Dr. Craig was absolutely wonderful throughout my entire pregnancy and during delivery! As a first timer, I had a lot of questions during appointments and she answered everything I needed help with. She’s funny, lighthearted and incredibly professional. During appointments she always let me know what to expect to happen to my body in between appointments to let me know what was normal. It was so helpful! I was induced because I was overdue. She checked on my two times during the induction process when she was on call at the hospital which was so nice! She was incredible during delivery and I highly recommend her. My only complaint is minor - long wait times in the waiting room for appointments. Bring a book or earphones to distract yourself. Plan in extra time in your schedule.

My very first visit with Dr Craig we waited over a hour to be seen. I asked her would the future visits be this way. She explained she makes time for all her patients so when her patients are having troubles they come directly to her oppose to going to labor and delivery. Well every issue I’ve ever had Dr. Craig advised me to go directly to L&D. Every appointment I’ve had i waited over a hour to be seen, and for her to have little to no conversation with me and send me on my way. What made me switch doctors was when I was getting a rash on my chest, she asked if my animals have fleas (I don’t have any animals) and never asked me any other questions. I went to a dermatologist who took a biopsy and advised me I have hives from the OTC prenatal vitamins. I called her office 3 days straight left numerous of messages. It took me to leave a message on the my chart for an assistant to tell me (dr Craig said to google foods with high iron and take them every day, don’t take anymore of the… vitamins.) She never called to follow up with me, never made an attempt to asked how things was going. So I changed doctors and went to Capital Women, I’ve never been more happier. They’re very personal and actually care about the heath and wellness of you and your baby. NEVER Never chose her as your doctor.

Dr. Craig has been my ob/gyn for 18 years. She delivered both of my children. Dr. Craig has always been very thorough and easy to talk to. I recommend her to all of my family and friends.

I was pregnant with my first child and chose Dr. Craig as my OB. In the beginning I felt like the appointments were rushed and impersonal but over the lonnng course of my pregnancy I got to know her a little more and she is amazing. A few times, my appointments had to be rescheduled because she had to be rushed to perform deliveries but I totally understand because I had to have an emergency C-section and she showed up right on time for me !! She delivered my first child and it was nothing short of amazing. She performed the C-section herself and I didn't even know she could do that! Thank you so much Dr. Craig.! Also, her office staff is great. Stephanie is wonderdful

the doctor was caring and understanding. she explained things well and was very knowledgeable.

I am so glad I switched to Dr Craig. She is always very proactive with everything and i completely trust her opinion on things. She always listens to my concerns and is able to give me good advice. i have had other GYN;s where i felt very uncomfortable and in her office I always feel comfortable. I highly recommend her!

I've been a patient of Dr. Craig for 11 years. She's always attentive to any problems or concerns I've ever had. Throughout her transition from Mercy Medical Center, Franklin Square, and now GVMC the staff is always friendly. Never had an issue with scheduling an appointment or receiving a call back from Dr. Craig. Whenever Dr. Craig is a few minutes behind in her appts running over there's a board at the receptionist desk stating the approximate minutes. Only once I to reschedule due to Dr. Craig having to leave to peform an Emergency c-section on another patient. I recommend Dr. Craig to EVERY person seeking a doctor in this field of medicine.

Dr. Craig is just phenomenal. She answered my questions with incredible expertise, kindness, and empathy. She is brilliant and lovely.

I went to Dr. Craig complaining about pelvic and back pain. She told me everything was fine.. I went to another OB/GYN 1 week later; and ended up having emergency surgery. The tumor I had was the size of a grapefruit. My entire ovary had to be removed. Thankfully, I sought a 2nd opinion.
