Dr. Carey Ann Dobbins-Sood

She is very compassionate and has great bedside manner. She takes the time the listen to your concerns and thoroughly answers your questions.

When I moved to Georgia 7 years ago needing an OBGYN physician, Dr. Carey, Dobbins-Sood, was recommended by my primary care physician. I am so glad she did. Each visit with her was pleasant. She took time to explain test results, possible solutions and even chat with me about my other unrelated medical conerns . I have just completed a surgical procedure and she gave me great comfort in word and presence. As I was preparing for anesthesia, She walked over and I went To sleep with her holding my hand. For me, she has been a very good doctor whom I recommend highly. My husband thinks she is courteous and makes you feel at ease.

Lacks bedside manner. Is not very personable with patients. I felt very rushed during a visit I had with her, and my questions weren't answered properly.

I have been having female problems for a very long time. I went to 2 other Dr.'s before finding Dr.Dobbins. My experience with her , her office staff and personal patient-doctor relationship is really good. I have been to see her 4 times and do not have any complaints. She is professional, compassionate and cares for her patients. Her bedside manner is wonderful. Her office is clean.... and she also has a sense of humor.Her office staff are a delight and make me feel like more than a number. Lots of smiles and very positive atmosphere. She will be performing my hysterectomy tomorrow, and I have full confidence in her for this surgery. There should be more Dr,'s like Dr. Dobbins .I'm grateful for Dr. Dobbins and her staff. Nothing negative to say.....I really like Dr. Dobbins .

When I was pregnant with my second child, Dr. Dobbins was the main doctor I saw and she was fantastic. Unfortunately she went out on maternity leave herself in my third trimester and I became stuck with another female doctor with a bad personality. Terrible! But fortunately Dr. Dobbins came back and is now my regular doctor once again.

I went to see Dr. Dobbins-Sood about my ongoing infertility issues. Her compassion and impeccable bedside manner was evident. She related her previous personal struggles with infertility that made me emotionally connect with her. Not only that, she was exact and precise in her initial workup and pointed me in the right direction when to came to getting further specialists involved. Being one a the few female OBs around the Ackworth area, I would recommend Dr. Dobbins-Sood to anyone.

Dr. Dobbins' bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I went in for a yearly checkup and to ask some questions about some existing health issues I had been having. During our visit, I became emotional about my ongoing health issues and I was looking for help and reassurance from her. The way she looked at me made me feel like I had 5 heads. I mentioned the fact that I was dealing with some anxiety and was currently withdrawing off my meds (a decision I came to with help and supervision from my therapist, psychiatrist, and primary care physician). Dr. Dobbins told me that because I was getting emotional and upset about my ongoing health issues, it's "a very bad idea to go off my medicine." I thought, so essentially, she thinks that getting upset over health issues that worry me is abnormal and I should be on meds to prevent emotional reactions. This is ridiculous in my opinion. Dr. Dobbins made me feel like an alien. Based on her reaction to me, I decided she is not the best doctor… for me and I will be looking for better one.
