Dr. Carl Balog, MD

I have been seeing dr Balog since 2007. He is an amazing pain dr. His staff has always been very kind and courteous. Well worth the hour drive to see him.

Overall experience was great. Staff was welcoming, empathetic, supportive! Dr. Balog was informative, professional and built my confidence about the outcome of recommended ESI prior to the procedure. The results were more than expected. Instant and sustained relief from pain. Would recommend Dr. Balog and his office to anyone needing pain management advice or potential procedure. Cannot say enough positive things about this experience.

Dr. Balog and Joe are credits to their profession. They have always listened intently and give great, compassionate care to all of their patients. I feel extremely fortunate to have them as my pain management specialists. The world would be a better place altogether if more health care professionals were like Dr. Balog and Joe!

I wish all doctors were as amazing as dr Balog and Joe Knaus. The staff is amazing too I love them all. I am so blessed to be a patient in this practice.

From the moment we walked in we were treated with courtesy, Everyone listened to us, were incredibly helpful and understanding and gave us options we have been looking for many years. We were treated with respect and courtesy. The staff is beyond excellent. They are happy to help and never tire of taking care of our concerns and do so pleasantly! We have been through a lot of different doctors offices over the years trying to find an answer and this was the place that helped us. We highly, highly recommend Dr. Balog and his wonderful staff. The group of people that make up this practice are, by far, the most down to earth people I have ever met in a doctors office. I used to dread coming to my pain specialist apt. It would weigh on my mind for days prior! Since I moved to PDX I have been seeing Dr. Balog. In these few visits I have seen a new standard in patient care that I did not think existed. Between a Doc who listens (rather than waiting for his turn to talk), and a staff that is patient, kind, and very understanding, I feel so fortunate to have found this office. Thank you all!

I could not have had a better visit with Dr. Balog, he is very thoughtful in how he addresses the issues that i had.

Dr. Balog saved me! I had torn rotary cuffs and torn tendons in both shoulders, and was one week away from a scheduled full knee replacement when I first visited Dr. Balog. He suggested that we try PRP and stem cells before proceeding with the surgery. I could barely move my arms and the surgeons were saying surgery is next. After two stem cell treatments in each shoulder they are fully recovered and pain free. The surgeon that reviewed my knee X-ray after two stem cell treatments stated that in all his years of practice he has never seen a knee improve. My cartilage was clearly thicker a year later. My knee has been saved and I can move my arms again. Many Thanks to Dr. Balog for his expertise.

Dr. Balog, Joe, and their staff are absolutely amazing. This group really show they care for me and my pain complaints. I am able to continue working because of them.

I was a patient of Dr. BALOG’s for years I have not had a doc like him since who really cares about his patients . They say they don’t do pain management anymore that’s why I’m not there anymore I have moda insurance now and would love to go back to Dr BALOG I truly miss everyone there. Thanks Candie masser
