Dr. Carl Barsigian, MD

In 2015 my wife had been battling leukemia for 8 years and her doctor took a position at the medical school and this doctor was assigned to her. She did not trust him, and her gut feeling was right. She was charged office visits for bloodwork, never seeing the doctor. She had diarrhea and an infection they couldn't find! Duh? Three floors in three days and messy, and I came and was told , not asked she had been put on chemo and on life support the next day! White blood and T-cell counts zero!!! She died of an intestinal infection on paper. Three doctors said get a lawyer, but none would testify! I feel guilty because I talked her into keeping him in a meeting. He sent a bill for copays for the bloodwork he sent to a lab to her insolvent estate for years. I hope he takes me to court and after this is deleted it will go on record and a counter claim filed! She payed every copay that she saw a doctor!

I never experienced an Oncologist who treated their patient without regard for their feelings or take into consideration what their diagnosis was. I would never recommend this Oncologist to anyone who has end stage cancer. A support group was never offered or recommended for patient or family. His bedside manner is dry and uncaring. He does not explain the course or stages of the cancer, nor does it seems like he cares. I believe he is an ageist, too old too bad. My elderly grandmother deserves a chance, not someone who says, in so many words, well you're going to die anyway. Think twice about using this man.
