Dr. Carl N Graf III, MD

Dr Graf is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable and really straightforward. He made sure I received the proper treatment I needed for my injury. Dr Graf explained every treatment/procedure very well and always answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend Dr Graf to anyone suffering from any spine issues.

I went to Dr Graf by recommendation and I made the right choice by going to him. I told him about my pain situation and what I was going through. He took X-rays and MRI’S to see what was giving me the lower back and leg pains. Found out what the problem was and had surgery to fix the problem No more pain in my walking, still a little back stiffness but that will get better with time. My therapist Mark was helping me get back on my feet by doing all the necessary exercises and stretching that I needed to do.

Dr Graf is a miracle worker. My back feels better than it has in years. I highly recommend

I've always considered myself a very active and healthy person. However, I developed a bulging disc that caused unbearable chronic pain. I tried everything to fix it on my own but after a year and a half, I sought out Dr. Carl Graf to perform a microdiscectomy. Everything was explained thoroughly by Dr. Graf and his staff. The procedure itself was minimally invasive and was performed on an out-patient basis. When I woke up from surgery, my nerve pain was completely gone. And the recovery time has been minimal as well. I'm living my life again. Needless to say, I am a huge advocate for Dr. Graf and his team. It’s not worth it to live through chronic pain. I'm beyond grateful!

I got an appointment with ease, but if you are looking for a doctor to answer all your questions and spend a reasonable amount of time with you, don’t bother. He couldn’t get out of the room fast enough. Offer no suggestions for my pain, except PT, of course

Dr Carl N Graf III, MD is a very knowledgeable, caring doctor who is questioning and listening to my concerns and feel my pain. Unfortunately after my physical therapy and epidural shot I still had to have a surgery which was very successful. He is a wonderful doctor . I would highly recommend him to anyone who has back/spinal issues.

Dr. Graf performed surgery on my neck in May 2021, due to cervical stenosis and other related issues. He thoroughly explained my condition to me, and even encouraged me to get a second opinion. Now a year later my condition has dramatically improved due to Dr. Graf. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Graf performed surgery to allow a nerve that was being compressed to relieve the pressure/ The incision was surprisingly small and healed quickly. Dr. Graf is caring and helped me to get physical therapy. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Graf and the staff at the Illinois Spine Institute in Crystal Lake were absolutely wonderful! I had been dealing with lower back pain and nerve pain shooting down my leg for months and Dr. Graf was the only doctor that took me seriously. He was able to book me in for surgery within 2 weeks of seeing him and really seemed to care about the amount of pain I was in. He takes time with his patients during visits and he even went out of his way to hunt down the anesthesiologist right before they wheeled me in for surgery to ask him about a concern I had on my EKG. After 8 months of constant pain, Dr. Graf gave me my life back and I will be forever grateful.
