Dr. Carl William Hanke, MD

My experience was very disappointing. The staff were rude and engaged in bullying behavior to me and to other patients. I now have a large scar from where CW Hanke removed a basal cell with one slice-the premise of Mohs surgery is to remove a little at a time to mitigate scarring. He was also rude. I will not return or recommend this practice to anyone

I went to have wart removed and mole. The wart grew back even bigger and the mole left a red spot. Then I had steroid injection on red spot and it did nothing. Lots of money later , I went back to get wart removed again and when I arrived the said I was 30 minutes late and needed to reschedule. I had 1:30 pm down and they had 1 pm. I have never gotten an appointment wrong before. The lady at the front insisted it was my fault and rolled her eyes at me. Enough said- I am finding a new dermatologist.

My husband works at a hospital & has met patients in the morgue with better personality than Dr Hanke.

I went to Dr. Hanke for a second opinion. He was a professional doctor who cared so much about the diagnosis I was given of sabaceous carcinoma on my upper eyelid and the directions I had been advised to take which would have had horrible results for me. Dr. Hanke took the time to examine me and reach out to other doctors to give me the best professional medical advice on other avenues for me to consider to have the best outcome possible. He also assured me that it was my decision on how I wanted to proceed. He made me feel so comfortable with his confidence that he could save my eye and I would be able to continue with my life. After just a 2 week healing time and reconstructive surgery on my upper eyelid I was again enjoying my family and back to work. I made the decision to let Dr. Hanke help me and have no regrets. My life has been blessed by Dr. Hanke and his staff.
