Dr. Carl Richard Sonder, MD

I met Doc Sonder at a time when my life was a shambles. He diagnosed me, treated me with respect and incredible compassion, and I owe my life to him.

I took my wife to see Dr. Sonder, she was diagnosed Bipolar Rapid Cycling. He was trying to see my wife alone. Since I was the one who saw her moods change within seconds, I wanted to be with her in the session. My wife said she wanted me in her session. Our first appt. with him, He said "I want to admit her into the Hospital" I looked at my wife and she was Terrified! How about talking with my wife and asking her questions before blurting out such a horrible statement, as if she wasn't Terrified enough that she has this disorder!! I made it very clear to him, I would take care of her. 2nd Appt. He inappropriately put his leg in between my wife's legs! Too too close!! We immediately left!! Beware of this Psychiatrist!! Study as much as you can and talk with your spouse the morning after a severe mood change. Remember, they are Terrified themselves as they have no control of their moods. Write down questions you or your troubled spouse have, so you are prepared for your first… appointment. Make absolutely sure you and your spouse feel comfortable with the Psychiatrist you chose. If they tell you they want or need to see your troubled spouse by themselves, find another Psychiatrist. As in my case, what could have happened if I didn't demand to accompany my troubled wife in her session with this Psychiatrist!! Hope you find this helpful!

I agree about doctors not caring I say him for 3 years no good I lost my business and house because I was so depression did not want do anything I was zombie

Irresponsible and uncaring . Fires clients if they have a problem that requires more than a quick prescription.

After 18 years of living with the wrong diagnosis, Dr. Sonder was able to correctly diagnose me and prescribe medication that actually makes me feel normal. He also has a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend him.

After 3-4 vistis this doctor told me he is only a part time Psychiatrist and can no longer help me. Why is this doctor taking new patients then? How can a doctor just abandon someone who needs their professional help? I would not recommend any doctor who abandons his patients.

After spending 10 years in and out of different Psychiatric hospitals, dealing with countless Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and medications, I found Dr. Sonder. Within 4 different visits, he was able to find the right "medication cocktail" for me. Through medication, and therapy, I have been healthy for 10 years, and still continue to see him. Without him, I would probably be dead. I truly cannot praise him, enough. Worth every red cent.

Dr. Sonder has treated my brother for years and has to be the WORST Dr. I have encountered. I have watched the decline of my brother from society. The meds he has put him on have rendered him in bed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. What kind of a Dr. takes money and doesn't give a darn....this one!!!!
