Dr. Carla Jean Cole, DO

Do not take your child here ever the Dr Carla Cole is rude uncaring and a Racist, I asked her about the Covid tests and she was so rude She said she assumes….And I questioned her she did not like it…and walked out of the the room Even before this I had to take my child several times to the clinic they said she is fine took her to children’s and she had an infection and needed antibiotics the Carla Cole is A Horrible Person and needs to Retire ole Mean Cow Not Friendly at All Do not take your kids here…

Dr. Cole's staff saw me so often with all my kids that one time they were ready for me before I got there! Another time she spent her lunch hour helping me learn how to feed my son who was born with a cleft lip and palate and was struggling to eat. She's down-to-earth, practical, and knowledgeable, and I love her dearly!

I only saw Carla Cole once because she thinks she is too good to treat poor people (the office has a policy that Medicaid patients are always seen by the other providers in this practice and not Dr. Cole herself.) Dr. Cole was really judgemental of me as a parent. I was a young mom and had just turned 18 when I had my daughter. She made a rude comment about my age and lectured me on how raising a child is a big responsibility as if I hadn't already figured that out. She also made a rude comment about the fact that we were on Medicaid and asked me when was I going to get a job and am I with my child's father and why are we not together. I was extremely uncomfortable with the invasive, very personal questions she kept asking. Also when I explained that I had decided not to breastfeed so I could start taking my antidepressants again she launched into a long rant about how she hates psych meds and thinks they are bad. Well I didn't ask for her opinion on that so she should have kept it to… herself. The one good thing about this practice is that we only saw Dr. Cole once, we saw a physician assistant or nurse practitioner at all our other appointments, and they were all much more pleasant people than she herself was. I eventually decided to stop coming here though because of how dirty the office is. We switched to Children's and never went back, they are so much better!

Dr. Cole is absolutely amazing. As a first time mother, she always patiently sat and answered any questions I had, no matter how silly or how many. Dr. Cole is always available any time I need her. She is patient and kind, and very knowledgeable. You will feel like the only patient she has most of the time! Now with my second child, she came to the hospital every day to check on us (since my first had so many complications) and even now with less silly questions she is still an amazing doctor and always makes time when we come in for a visit. I feel so lucky to have found her and cannot recommend her enough! Her staff is excellent as well.

The Drs at Dr. Carla Cole's office are excellent and I love that I chose them to be my baby's dr, but the front staff could be nicer and more respectful. they are very rude and standoffish.

this was my daughters doctor for a couple of years.... We never saw the actual Doctor, just the nurse practitioners. They have never spent much time checking the patient , the will look at the complaint area for a couple seconds ask a few questions and then diagnose. They always suggest in my opinion ridiculous exams/treatments ..... I think just for the insurance money, I think most of their patients have Medicaid. Once my daughter was having trouble with bowl movements first thing they suggested was an ultrasound of the stomach and some procedure that would stick a tube in her and check the kidneys ...would require hospital visit ....... Really, that's your FIRST option? My daughter went in once with a swollen lymph node....response we got was, we will try antibiotic, if that doesn't work then surgery to have it removed. I now only come here when her regular doc is closed and it's not something that warrants a hospital visit (they are open until 9p)

It is so hard to get an appt and the front desk staff is VERY rude. Dr. Cole is ok and the hours of operation are great with walk-ins aval. They are just so slow, rude and will literally be in the room with you for only 2mins.

I have been taking my son to see Dr. Cole for over 13yrs and she is awesome! We live in Denton county and still make the drive to see her!! Love Dr Cole and Latisha:)

When first time I went in this office I was feel in love: easy make appointment, long hours of work, office clean, staff friendly, waiting time not so long like in other offices when we went before, dr Cole nice and really help to my kids. But right now I would change clinic. Why? Reason in other doctors in her clinic and organization of paperwork. They never gave to us description of our visit and we never can check if they write right or confuse something. Once we receive bill from insurance company where in list was shot which we never doing. If I need some paper for presentation it to school they send me to phone call to nurse, then nurse send it via email or fax to school. Why? I stay right here, front desk lady take in her hand necessary paperwork. Just make copy and give it to me. They lost shots record one of my child. One dr from year to year recommended same treatment even if he see it doesn't work. Other dr prescription cough medicine which cost over 140 dollars. Do I like… dr Cole like a doctor? Yes. Will I recommended her clinic for my friends? No.

This is a great office to take your kids to in Garland! The office is open from 9 am to 9 pm M-F and 9 am to 3 pm Sat and Sun. although Dr. cole is not there 7 days a week she has hired very caring and professional Doctors/PA's to work in the after hours clinic. The after hours clinic can be a little busy during certain times of the year but it is way better than waiting in the emergency room for six hours to be seen. I love this clinic and Dr. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
