Dr. Carla Rosenzvit

Please keep looking, this place only cares about money, especially Dr. Carla Rosenzvit. If I could give this place 0 starts, I would. I first met with Dr. Carla Rosenzvit because of a cough I had. I paid my $55 co-pay and then she prescribed my medicine. She knew my insurance was terminating and that I would be switching to another insurance but that would be for another 60 days. I explained this to her and she told me she understood. I go to the pharmacy to pick up medicine. I'm told by the pharmacy that my insurance does not cover it and that I must pay $220. The pharmacy's then tells me that had Dr. Carla Rosenvit just called my insurance and made a prior authorization or exception, it would be covered. Dr. Carla response to me was that she does not handle the insurance matter. This is true but had she just given me a heads-up and tell me to verify that my insurance may not cover it, I would not be in this predicament. She does not go the extra mile. its really not a mile but an… inch. Tell your patients that they should double check with their insurance, instead of misleading them that the insurance company would pay for it and everything will be okay. She does not care. She just wants your money. Mount Sinai is no better. Dr. Carla Rosenzvit then tells me to get a cat scan. The cat scan literally took 2 minutes. Here we go again, I get a bill from Mount Sinai stating that I owe them $354. Apparently, my insurance covered a portion of it and I must pay the remaining balance. I spoke to Dr. Carla Rosenzvit about this and she gave me the same run around, that she does not handle billing and talk to billing. I spoke to billing and they told me to talk to Dr. Carla Rosenzvit. All billing could tell me is I must pay the remaining portion. I proceed to call Dr. Carla Rosenzvit again and discuss this. She did not care. She is more of a business women then anything. She tells me the cat scan came back negative. Mind you, she told me she would call me to give me the results. I had to follow up with her. And then she proceeds to tell me that she has nothing to do with insurance. Had she just given me a heads up that the cat scan would not be fully covered and that I should double check with my insurance, I would have and never had done the cat scan. She goes about her business' as if the patient wont be getting a huge bill. She gives no fore warning because she doesn't care. I have had doctors in the past give me a heads-up before proceeding with anything. Do not do business with this doctor or hospital. Go somewhere else. I had even asked her why the heck am I paying to park a hospital. She said that she didn't even know the hospital charges there patients parking fees because she had doctor parking. She then tells me to check with the from office to get my parking comp and I did. The front office told me that there's no comp parking. This is place is pathetic and so is Dr. Carla Rosenzvit.
