Carla Samantha Vasquez

I became a nurse practitioner to serve my community and, since I'm bilingual, to help decrease the language barrier many in the Spanish-speaking community have when they're seeking medical care. In this role, I aspire to be a role model for minorities and younger generations. \n Family practice allows me to interact with and care for people ranging in age from newborns to the elderly. I love the variety. \n I like working as a team with my patients and offering them information and guidance to help them make the best decisions they can for their health. Patients should feel a sense of control over their well-being, and I want to empower my patients to take that control. \n Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. We love traveling and being active - especially outdoors. We spend a lot of time cheering on our sons as they play soccer and basketball.
