Dr. Carle Crane Kalsi, MD

My name is Karen Suggs and on 01-11-19, I was admitted to Saint Francis Hospital through the emergency room due to chest pains. Saint Francis Hospital is my in-network hospital for Humana Insurance. I was assigned a physician with the Tennessee Emergency Physicians, PLLC group upon my arrival. I paid my $500.00 hospital deductible while in the emergency room and verified my insurance information up on arrival. I told the emergency room staff that I had a cardiologist that has privileges at Saint Francis and that they would contact him for admission. I was admitted that day. I receive a statement from Tennessee Emergency Physicians group on 02-01-19 for $1,180.00. The doctor on the bill is Carle Kalsi, I honestly don’t know who that is. I called the company and asked for an itemized invoice because the insurance company only paid $177.78. I was told it would be mailed. On 03-09-19, I called again and was told that the itemized invoice would be mailed again. On 03-19-19, I… called Humana and asked as to why the payment amount was so low and was told that the Tennessee Emergency Phys group was not in my network. I called the Tennessee Emergency Phys group and asked that I be billed as an in network billing because this was an emergency and I went to an in-network hospital. I was told that this is the billing and there is nothing I could do about it. The agent on the phone was extremely rude to me on the phone. I was then told that is what they charge and that I needed request a settlement payment with my insurance company. On 04-05-19, I mailed and faxed a notice of dispute with Humana and Tennessee Emergency Physicians. I did not select this doctor or his group, I didn’t have any choice in the matter. I went to an in-network hospital and should be charged at that rate. On 05-14-19, I received notice that my account has been turned over for collection. I have no problem paying the bill at in-network rates.

Dr.Kalsi treated me in the ER when I was very sick. He was the kindest, nicest doctor I've ever seen. He was very thorough and explained my diagnosis and treatment. I can't say enough good about him!

Dr. Kalsi saved my life. Already had two other Er docs treat my symptoms, dismissing anything further. Dr. Kalsi had the sense to know that my history was connected to my sudden pain and symptoms and ordered an x-ray. I was admitted on the spot and in surgery the following day. A great doctor.

Will not treat for pain. Treats the x-ray not the patient. Poor judgment as a physician. Had to visit another physician for adequate treatment. Don't waste your money on Dr. Kalsi
