This is a doctor overstated her skillset and experience and left me with cancer due to incompetence. She told me she could get positive margins after lumpectomy with reconstruction. I doubted her as she seems over confident and had a lower level of experience outside fellowship. I told her to cancel the reconstruction. She talked me into doing it. The margins were positive. Surgeons must return to theh OR to get positive margins in a week. She waited months and sheepisly admitted she did not know how to do the procedure. I went to many consultations to find someone to take over with many declinations. They all shook their heads and said there was would not have provided this kind of care to their own patients. Ultimately, she didn't take responsibility, actually blamed me at one point, and ghosted me during the most vulnerable time of life.dmitted she did not know how to do the procedure. By her own admission, she has difficulty removing early stage breast cancer and is only proficient at flat closure mastectomy. She works under the guise of compassion, yet is the greatest of people pleasers, which we all know are the least compassionate and just want to be liked at any expense, including undertaking procedures she cannot handle. She was unprepared, ignored complications, didn't ask for help, tried to hide her mistake, and one of the most forgetful doctors I've seen...to a point of thinking there may be an underlying medical problem. A visit with her was life changing, not in a good way. Hang in there breast cancer ladies, I hope this helps.
