Dr. Stacy P Ardoin, MD

Dr. Ardoin is one of the best doctors I've ever received care from. She has been my rheumatologist for the past 12 years, and I have received nothing but excellent care and attention from her. She is quick to respond to any problems I bring up, and she takes it seriously. There have even been a couple times when she has taken the time to call me personally on my cell, (because I had called her office only a few hours before that to inform her of a potential health issue I had been experiencing). I have never talked to any other doctor on the phone. Their communication is usually done through one of the nurses. My point is, Dr. Ardoin is extremely knowledgeable and diligent to diagnose any potential issues brought up. She is dedicated to giving the best care to her patients. I have only good things to say about her!

She is a very nice and competent doctor. She quickly diagnosed my illness. However as time went on I felt she didn't listen to complaints of new symptoms (fevers, hair loss, swollen lymph nodes, headaches) and relied too heavily on blood work results. I ended up having to switch to a new rheumatologist. By then I was very sick; developed additional autoimmune disorders; and experienced additional organ involvement. None of which showed up in blood work but were apparent on clinical presentation.

Support staff are terrible which is unfortunate for such a good doctor. She only sees rheum. patients one day per week which makes scheduling difficult at OSU. Would be great if she had her own office outside of OSU. She is intelligent, well informed and down to earth. Follow up for lab results is undependable with this office.

Dr. Ardoin has been a wonderful physician for a very complex patient. Compassionate, thoughtful, sensitive to concerns. Always goes the extra mile to find answers for us. Without a doubt, an incredibly bright star in the OSU Hospital system.

I had an appt squeezed in bc i was in alot of new pain and waited 2wks for it. Ivgot lost on way there and was 20min late. got there, checked in and told them why i was late, and they took got me registered and sat me in back.nurse came and told me i have to reschedule bc i was late and Dr took next appt. i was in tears bc i tried so hard to get there and i thought since they took me in back she was for sure gonna see me. scheduling nurse told me the front doesn't call back anymore like they used to when theres a late pt to see if they'll take them or not. 1-have front call back in them cases 2- Dr and staff should have compassion and some leighway in some circumstances. Btw, next rescheduled appt is in another 2wks and in the meantime Im out of meds they won't refill over phone.
