Terrible bedside manor. Wasted my time and money. I was to have a repair surgery and was placed on the schedule. I based everything around this surgery. Did everything he asked, even paying for a CT Scan that I didn't quite have the funds for at the moment. Then when I go to have my consult, 2 days before scheduled surgery, he back tracks. Gives bogus reasons he "doesn't want to operate yet" and doesn't care you've turned your life upside down to have this surgery done. Especially when it's more severe of a repair and should really be done ASAP, according to 3 other doctors. I will be having my repair done by a trusted surgeon, who respects me as a person, my time, my money and doesn't leave me in tears because of their ridiculous behavior. Things do not just become an issue from one week to the next, when nothing has changed except it's a more severe situation and needs addressed quickly. So sad this happened. I will stay with the doctors that I know and trust. I tried to give… others a chance.

Fist surgeon I've ever met that actually cared beyond the surgery and made sure that he checked on me daily for the first week then once weekly for the first month. Anytime I had an issue come up in regards to my reoccurring skin condition he would fit me into his schedule w/in 24 hours. Amazing staff too!

I was admitted to the emergency room at Shawnee Mission Medical Center following a week of high fever, general feeling lousy and finally, a bout of "gastro melt down". A CT or Xray reveled a torn colon. Dr Jurani was called in for surgery. Dr Jurani came into the room and seemed like an angel in white. He advised me to wait before having the surgery because he thought my colon might heal with care. It took great diplomacy to convince my family member (also a physician-critical care specialty) not to do surgery. Long story short, no surgery, excellent follow-up by the doctor. And, my colon did heal on its own!!! A good surgeon knows when not to cut.

As you can see by my all 5 star rating I think very highly of Dr. Jurani. He has a very effcient and courteous staff. Dr. Jurani spent the time before and after surgery to make sure I understood why I needed my gallbladder removed, how it would be removed and answered all my questions in a way I could understand. The surgery itself was quick and painless. The worst thing about the surgery and healing was the itching about a week later. I know I was lucky and healed very fast (some will not) but you can't have luck without skill. If I ever need surgery again Dr. Jurani will be my first choice.

We were so happy with Dr. Jurani and his staff. He was professional, thorough with directions and we felt very comfortable with his care. His follow up was wonderful when we had questions post surgery. We highly recommend!

Dr. Jurani is the best surgeon I have ever had and I started having surgeries 11 years ago for various reasons.When I met him, he listened and we got a plan. He would not let me look back on other surgeons mistakes but helped me move forward. His compassion, concern and interest was amazing.I have new life thanks to Dr. Jurani.

Dr,Jurani is the best doctor I have had or seen. He has excellent communication skills and his knowledge is tremendous. He performed several extensive surgery on me to undo another surgeons mess.I would trust him with my life.
