Dr. Carlo Anthony Messina, MD

I have nerve damage in both feet. Doctor Messina was wonderful. I get injections every three months or so. His bedside manner is wonderful, he explains everything to me. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I have seen him 5 times.

Dr. Messina is an excellent dr with a fantastic bedside manner. He has fixed all of my children and myself. I think the entire staff is amazing!

Dr. Carlos Messina misdiagnosed my foot and ankle Medical condition and did not take the time nor care to go over my care or my surgical files. He showed me no compassion and his bedside manner was atrocious. He repeatedly talked down to me and did not treat me Like a patient but someone beneath his feet. I tried to tell him about my situation and my feet and ankle but he did not want to listen to me. He tossed me aside. He was was obtuse and argumentative and I don't understand a physician acting this way with me as a patient. He said he could not help me and would not look at all the files I brought. I have since been to University of Miami to the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Team and been seen by the best and been diagnosed within Mueller-Weiss syndrome and have had my surgery and I am recovering. This medical team including my main doctor have treated me with compassion and kindness and with the respect I deserve. Unlike Dr. Carlos Messina. He did not honor his oath as… a doctor and I would warn anyone going to see him to be careful and do your research and read all reviews! Everyone is who who they seem. Some doctors are only out for money. If my review can help at least one person than it would not have been in vain. He made me sit in my wheelchair in his room alone and feel like a nobody with no hope for myself and I don't want anyone to feel that way. He is an abhorrent doctor and vile disgusting person. His grotesque display of unprofessionalism says so much about him and his practice. Please Don't fall victim like I did.

Patients be aware that this office overcharges and once they take your money, there is no way that you can get that fixed easily. They charged me for a boot that according to my insurance (AETNA) it should had been covered by the insurance if they had submitted the claim properly. I spoke to Carolina who is in charge of billing twice, AETNA also left several messages to her indicating that she needs to resubmit the claim with the right code for the boot but she has not resubmitted the claim since they got my money already. I guess that the next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to see if they can help me to get this issue resolved.
