long wait time... not really clear

Disgusted with this Dr Arevalo's attitute. My mother went to see him as reffered by her primary doctor and he immeadiately refused to see my mother because she's on workers comp. This doctor didnt even bother asking why she's there to see him. First of all my mother didnt go to him related to workers comp issue and 2nd my mother has an active 1199 insurance. This doctor is not compassionate at all and his license should be taken away. He's all about the money. So for all patients out there, think again before investing your health to this doctor. He doesnt deserve any star at all!

I believe, Dr Arevalo is a pretty decent professional, eventhough he doesn't spend a great deal of time with his patients he seems knowledgable and discovered many issues other doctors had overlooked in me cousin. However, the way the staff (two, I guess "secretaries") treat the patients is beyond me. They are extremelly rude to say the least. They treat you as if they were doing you a favor and if you try to converse with them they might even insult you! They have no idea what good manners mean. Why they work there is a mystery. People like them should not work with people, let alone sick ones. It's a pity.

Dr. Arevalo is a detailed and caring physician. He is the consummate professional. He very thorough and has no qualms about ordering as many tests as he deems necessary. The problem is the waiting room. You will walk into a waiting room with about 10+ patients all facing each other in square formation. At any point I expected someone to stand up, say their name and how long they'd been drinking. The wait is looooong and dull, no tv just some radio tuned into 103.5 as elderly pts look around in confusion as to where this noise is coming from. The waiting room is also dated. He's a good doc though, so you might find he's worth the wait...

LAST YEAR I HAD THE UNFORTUNATE MISTAKE OF USING DR. AREVALO AS MY PHYSICIAN. I FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE IN HIS OFFICE AND SURROUNDINGS SINCE EVERYONE WAS SPEAKING SPANISH. HIS OFFICE IS IN A SPANISH NEIGHBORHOOD AND ALL BUT THE STAFF IS VERY PREJUDICE TOWARDS THEIR OWN KIND OF PEOPLE. HE ALSO MAKES SURE YOU PAY THE COPAYMENT BEFORE SEEING HIM, WHICH IN CASE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND WANT TO LEAVE OR GET TIRED OF WAITING YOU CAN'T. YOU HAVE NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER. I DON'T FEEL HE IS A VERY COMPETENT DOCTOR IN HIS FIELD I HAD A PROBLEM AND WAS HOSPITALIZED AND HE NEVER CAME TO SEE WHY. FOR THE PROBLEM HE RECOMMENDED I SEE A SPECIALIST WHEN IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT SPECIALILST AND HE REFERRED ME BACK TO DR. AREVALO BECAUSE IT WAS A ENDOCRINE PROBLEM. HE SPACES YOUR APPOINTMENTS FOR EVERY THREE MONTHS OR SO, ESPECIALLY WHEN SOMETHING NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. HE ALSO SENDS YOU TO A LAB WHERE MOST OF THE HELP IS SPANISH SPEAKING ALSO. RIGHT THEN I DECIDED TO CHANGE DOCTORS.
