Dr. Carlos Alfredo Astrada, MD

Top-notch doctor with excellent bedside manner. I would recommend him to anybody.

I use the term Medicaid is easy because there are Dr's who's conscience is based on the type of insurance instead of the quality of care. "All that's Therapeutic" for which Dr. Astrada is affiliated with, and had been treating my child for month's secretly ignoring the concerns that was expressed every two weeks for 5 months. My concerns were even to the point of making suggestions about the kinds of meds he could try. He would consistently refill month after month, even saying my suggestions wouldn't help. Now, please note my child was with this instution for 2 years, and was seen by 2 MD's, and 2 Nurse Practictioners, and although there bed side manner was pleasant; the quality of care along with the risks for my childs health had not been considered. Dr. Astrada was the last Dr. who had seen my child before I finally realized my child was not being helped. My child was recently hospitalized and, was told that the medication my child was taking was working against each other, and… none of the meds were helping the schizophrenia. This not to bash but sometime people have to remember we are counting on our Dr's to have integrity character and a sense quality of care regardless of insurance, so I hope this comment helps those with children with Medicaid, and pray those who read this have a moral conviction about aiding and abadeing those who are not representing the quality of care that you want to be known for. Medicaid is what we have not always cause we want it, but in life, LIFE happens and this is what we have to rely on, but when we RISE, after the storm we will be able to give back and contribute to what helped us. Thank you for this opportunity to speak the wrongs that MUST be CORRECTED.

Dr. Astrada is a very experienced child psychiatrist; excellent diagnostician with a specialty in medication management. He is reliable, responsible and committed to his patients.
