Dr. Carlos Bejar, MD

I am a 36 year old African American woman who has hypertension. Hypertension has really made me depressed over the last three years as I haven't really understood it, and felt as though the doctors who I've seen didn't really care enough to get to the root of my hypertension. Upon making my appointment I read several reviews, and thought to myself that the staff seemed very nice. I made it to my appointment about 15 mins early, and the staff was extremely friendly. They immediately took me to the back to check my pressure, then to the doctor Bejar's office, which by the way was very nice & relaxing with the theme of the room. The doctor came in and sat with me for about 1 1/2 for my first visit and he went over everything throughly. He was very KNOWLEDGEABLE, FUNNY, CARING, & most importantly human. He also went over blood work from my previous physician and pointed out some facts that I was unaware of that was very vital to my health in which the other physician failed to mention. Dr.… Bejar even offered me a hug at the end because he saw how distraught I was doing the visit. I'm just elated that I found Dr. Bejar and I now feel more confident that I will soon have a stable blood pressure. ~Stacy

Because of Dr. Bajar, his amazing staff and the way his office is run let's you know you are in good hands. How can a doctor's office have only ONE PERSON who can enter new patients into their computer system? What job security!!! Option four on the phone tree is for new patients. The voice mail message said NOTHING about being on vacation for a week, offered no backup assistance or workaround process. Left guessing until I called back and was told I would just have to wait until the staff person returns from vacation.

Very informative, listens to questions, provides reasons behind his recommendations. Also excellent office and staff.

It was only my second visit in 3 years. He pinpointed inaccuracies on tests from other physicians. He ordered correct tests for what has bothered me off and on for years. He studied all of my hospital and primary physician's records. He saw there was an almost miraculous improvement from the first time I saw him the following year, and big drop this year. He asked what was different. I had taken HBOT after an accident. He studied HBOTat Cleveland Clinic decades ago and was fascinated. I feel relieved and confident that I can begin HBOT treatments again along with his knowledge and expertise and avoid the Big Pharma one size fits all medications that created my problem - and probably help many others in the process.

Dr. Carlos Bejar is a skilled scientist ,who knows how to be present without appearing rushed. It appears to me that he cares about his patients on a case by case basis. He made some observations to me, which I, who have been involved with nephrologists most of my life, never thought of.

Dr. Bejar is awesome! He is so compassionate! He listens to you - does not try to rush you and most important, is very thorough. Love that man!

When my doctor told me I needed a nephrologist, I didn't know what to expect. I was scared and worried about my future and wanted to make sure I saw the best doctor in town. My PCP referred me to Dr. Bejar. From the minute I stepped into his gorgeous waiting room (more like a living room) I knew I was in the right place. He explained everything about my issue clearly and in terms I would understand and answered all of my questions. I loved that he listened to everything that I had to say and did not rush me out of the room. I have been to his office twice now and his staff is the best! They are always smiling and helpful. If you are hesitant, do not be! He really is one of the best!

I found Dr. Bejar to be very thorough and knowledgeable regarding the kidney manifestations of lupus, and the latest treatment. I had heard about him at a support group for lupus, and he did not disappoint. Well worth the drive from Miami. Thank you, Dr. Bejar!
