Dr. Giron is the son of Cuban immigrants who was born in New York City. At 14 years of age, his family moved to Miami, Florida where he attended St. Brendan High School and graduated with Honors from the University of Miami. He attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed Residency training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management in 1996. Dr. Giron then moved to Macon where he founded the Pain Institute of Georgia. He became a pioneer in opening the first Pain Management Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Georgia. He started the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and helped to create the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. Dr. Giron is the father of three sons and is an accomplished national speaker, author, photographer and an avid fanatic of the University of Miami Hurricanes.
