Dr. Carlos Reynaldo Herrera, MD

Carlos R. Herrera, M.D., is a graduate of Harvard Medical School (Class of 1983) and is board certified in Internal Medicine. He completed advanced clinical and public health training at the Central Texas Medical Foundation, The University of Texas School of Public Health, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which provided a broad foundation in both patient care and regulatory medicine.

Dr. Herrera served on the faculty as an associate professor at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he contributed to medical education and clinical scholarship. His academic experience complements his clinical expertise and underscores a long-standing commitment to teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

Currently in private practice, Dr. Herrera maintains active hospital privileges at St. Joseph Hospital in the Heights and provides medical services in several long-term care facilities, including Lexington, Winterhaven, Highland, Ashford Gardens, West …Janish, Woodridge, and Spring Branch Transitional Care. He continues to focus on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.
