Dr. Carlos Jose Nine, MD

Dr Nine is a great doctor,very knowledgeable,great bed side manner,and very interested at a patient level,personalble.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was a patient of Dr. Nine for years when our insurance changed. I could no longer go to him as my primary insurance. Recently I suffered a massive heart attack and subsequent bypass surgery and a second heart attack and realized through this process our newest plan WOULD accommodate Dr Nine. I was so happy to return to a dr I had always known and loved. Since my return though, it seems that Dr Nine, his wife and staff have all undergone some type of change. A single visit is charged upwards of $200 and when I call for anything I am treated as if I am a bother. Dr Nine told me to come in so he could check a spot on my leg I was concerned with and he said, “just pop in, I’ll take a quick look” then the nurse came in and said I was to be charged for a full visit so she was taking my vitals. ?? His wife texted me informing me I had no insurance (not true, there was never a lapse in my coverage) and in a panic I called my insurance company to figure out… what was going on. My blood pressure shot up because her office staff misfiled my paperwork. The last straw was today. I have stomach issues and Dr Nine had written a prescription to help with and suddenly switched me to a different drug that he said “I have plenty of samples so you won’t need a prescription” two weeks later I was told they had NO samples and the prescription was called in to a time of $400! When I called the office I was told there was nothing he could do (maybe write the scrip for the other med that worked and was cheaper??) and I’d have to see a specialist. I’m literally in tears over how I’ve been treated since my return. I can not return to the previous dr because she missed all the warnings that I had heart disease. This IS NOT the Dr I remember. There are only 2 previous comments so I beg you DO NOT consider going to Dr Nine. A patient expects to be a priority not a bother. I already feel like I’m bothering the dr when I go in I certainly do not want that feeling reinforced.

I have been in the Drs. office hearing him talk to patients in other rooms about giving them certain medicines that he will tell some that he never prescribes. He was giving my wife two medicines that he told me he never does with a condition she has. She has been getting them for over two years from him and should have been only taken them for a short time if needed.

My mother is a patient of Dr. Nine and what i have found is he keeps over prescribing xanax. She will have roughly 15 pills left after 10 days and then she calls Dr. Nine and he gladly keeps refilling them for her. You would think the insurance company at the very least would catch on or Dr. Nine would send her for a psych eval....but, not at all. just keep prescribing Dr. Nine. I think everyone who has a parent/s that use this doc should have a good look at how they use there meds and how often he keeps refilling things. I give this guy -5 stars and i hope others do as well.

I love this Doctor. He takes his time with you and answers all your questions.Very knowledgeable. Really cares about all his patients.
