Dr. Carlos Paz, MD, PhD

I just wanted to express how extremely thankful I was to have such a wonderful first experience regarding dermatology at your office! Melissa Manriquez was simply amazing along with the entire staff! It really felt like everybody was family and felt at ease as soon as I walked through the door! The work that I had done was beyond my expectations and I am happy to share my experience with friends and family and absolutely recommend this office for all dermatology needs!

Dr Paz was excellent. I highly recommend him and his staff!

Dr and staff did not find it necessary to wash hands prior to gloving or in between patients. Scary! I do not recommend!

I gave them 3 chances - 2 of which at my expense. The first time I recieved a consulation with a PA and they didnt even have a dermatologist see me - I recieved no information, no hypothesis on my issue, no help. The second time I requested a dermatologist and again got the PA but requested again and the dermatologist came in for about 10 seconds and again offered no help and just wanted to leave the room. They "cultured" the cystic-like acne prior to rushing me out (I still dont know what is wrong with my skin). They cultured by rubbing the SURFACE of the skin... The infection is INSIDE... And needless to say the results came back negative for everything. When they called to tell me the culture was negative, they did not say they need to see me again, nor did I speak with a dermatologist, nor did they have any theory - it was simply "its negative - good luck." When I questioned their care and/or competence in helping me, the receptionist simply said I should go somewhere… else for a "second opinion" (when I never recieved a first opinion to begin with) to get the help I need. The third time I requested Dr Paz himself and waited for over a month. When I show up for my appointment, they tell me that Dr Paz will not be seeing me. What!? At this point I left and they called to talk to me but really did not care - they wanted me to care about them and how booked they are instead. Truely the worse health care I have ever experienced in my life.

When you make an appointment you will only be seeing the nurse practitioner. After several visits, finally saw dr. Paz. Not friendly. Felt like he was concerned just about money which made me not trust his advise.

I didn't get to see the doctor. I was instead sent to his nurse practitioner. I felt that my first visit should have been with an MD, not a NP. Most doctor offices have a new patient visit with the MD - as best practice. My visit felt incomplete.

Has to ask were it was he treated. Looks at sheet to figure out you name. Obviously does something just to bill insurance company on a follow up. Then sets a return visit 6 months out even after he states there was nothing.

Iâ??m not sure how it has nothing but 5 stars but I will NEVER go back there. I found them through my insurance and did some research and saw they were highly recommended. However, when I went in it was a completely different situation. I met with the NURSE PRACTITIONER, not even the actual Doctor, both times. I went in and it was clean and staff was friendly. I am struggling with adult cystic acne and I went in to get help. What I left with both times are tears. I told who I thought was the doctor that I need something that will help Iâ??m in pain and itâ??s causing anxiety. I told her I donâ??t agree with hard pills but would like to talk about how I could change my lifestyle, make up routine, etc. No . She cut me short told me I need Isotretinoin (Accutane) and nothing else was going to help me. Well, Iâ??ve done my research on Isotretinoin (Accutane) and had A LOT of questions before I did that too my body. She didnâ??t hear any of it. My first appointment lasted no more than 10… minutes and she gave me some cream and put me on an anti biotic and then ordered lab work so I could get put on Isotretinoin (Accutane). I kept trying to asked questions and she wouldnâ??t answer them. I had no idea what the cream was that I was given and had to go home and do my own research because she didnâ??t tell me anything about it or what she was even prescribing me. Well when I went back a month later I told her I did my research and â??accutaneâ?? is not for me? And she tells me nothing is going to help me and all the negative reviews are exaggerations and she has never had a client that suffered from anything bad. I told her I didnâ??t feel comfortable being on a long term antibiotic let alone a form of accutane. She gave me 100page booklet on accutane PREGNANCY WARNINGS and told me to â??googleâ?? it and then rushed me out. I tried staying and saying what lifestyle changes etc could I do? She said nothing will help me but accutane. Accutane basically â??nukesâ?? your insides and I have a HUGE family history of depression and anxiety which I have suffered from in the past and she never asked me about it. She never asked if I was wanting to get pregnant soon (accutane causes miscarriages and birth defects), she never asked me if I have a family history of blood clotting and liver cirrhosis which I do. Why would I take this awful awful medication for clear skin??? She told me nothing else will help me. I asked about birth control and she tells me to do my own research. Hello, Iâ??ve been doing my own research and I need medical advice from a medical doctor. She said nothing will help me yet I left there that day and started a new form of birth control (that I did my own research and found and asked for it at planned parenthood) I then went to an estitian instead and SHE helped me with lifestyle changes, cleaners, and how to wash my face. Let me tell you the month between my first and last visit there I used her cream and all it did was peal off my face and MAKE MY ACNE WORST. I went to this esthitian and she gave me a cleanser that has been clearing my cystic acne as well as a face wash brush that has done wonders for my skin. So nothing could help me but that terrible drug??? I went with what I was comfortable with and my skin has done a whole 180. I will NEVER go back and have told everyone and anyone I know to stay away. They are obviously being paid for all Isotetinoin prescriptions they give, and could care less about my health. Iâ??m so upset.

Dr. Paz' staff is very courteous and professional. Dr. Paz is pleasant and thorough with explaining any procedure that he will perform as well as addressing any questions or concerns. My experience at Dr. Paz' office was exceptional and I would definitely return to Dr. Paz for continued medical care.

Dr. Paz was prompt and thorough and I will definately recommend him to my Friends.
