Dr. Carmela J. Javellana, MD

Excellent psychiatrist.

She is very judge mental. Will fire you after years of being with. My daughter has been hospitalized for sucide attempt 3 months ago. She was unwilling to give medication until we can find someone. I would suggest finding a someone else and not even consider her. We should have found someone else to to help my daughter's sooner!

Filled out all paperwork only to be told no new patients

I met with Dr Javellana through a referral of my therapist. I had been seeing a different Psychiatrist for over a year who had been treating me for deep depression. First thing Dr Javellana did was "clean me up" and started me on a fresh path. Dr Javellana did more for me within 6 months than the other Dr did in over a year. She worked with me through my such a horrible place. That was 6 years ago, now I just check in with her once a year for update on my wellbeing and medication checks. She saved my life, really.

Rushed more than in past visits.Don't have the confidence in treatment I had with a previous Dr who seemed to manage meds better. Seems to not individualize meds.

just wish I could pay in the office

Dr. Javellana is very arrogant. She has a very high opinion of herself and makes it a point to let you know that she is in charge. She doesn't interact well with children and is easily agitated if they don't respond as quickly as she would like them to.
