Dr. Carmina Isabel Ramos Dizon, MD

This Dr. is terrible. She ordered me a screening for colonoscopy fit test saying I'm due already. I'm only on my 30's. I was so surprised because I'm not even 45 yrs old without any s/sx or changes in my bowel or any Family Hx of Colon ca. Lucky I'm a nurse, an Endoscopy nurse, and she doesn't know so I asked her if this is a new guidelines and she never responded me. I immediately changed her as my primary Doctor.

I have brought this doctor a platter full of problems as I am old. One each occasion she has went up and beyond. I had a pigmentation issue and she did the exam, she loaded everything into the computer. Asked if I had time? Sure she said be right back she ran outside grabbed the head of dermatology who was eating his lunch while walking. Had him come up check me out yes pigmentation issues and well it was a full body check got me a prescription and an education. Ok who does that? This doctor cares guilted me into a colon check otherwise I would not have even with huge family issues of colon cancer. Yes she does listen and remembers everything, I am extremely appreciative of her abilities like she says nicely let me do my job and its the best.

I'd been on Dr Dizon's panel for many years. Luckily I'm in fairly good health so I don't visit the doctor often. I had a very good opinion of her in the early years. She seemed bright, friendly. However, each visit with her made me reassess my original opinion. The last few years I've been having trouble with stomach pain. After a lab test was ordered and completed, no follow-up from Dr Dizon on next steps. Outside of the lack of follow-up, in general, she does not try to form a personal connection, gets right to the point - almost sounds impolite when she does that, and is very quick to form opinions without probing. She then goes on to prescribe whatever she has quickly concluded is right. Once she's done that, she does not wait to answer more questions. She will rush you to collect your things and hurriedly escort you out of the room herself. It's almost as if she would rather not have you there [sarcasm]. After I saw this pattern play out a few times, I decided I'd had enough and… switched to a different doctor. She will also not follow up if a prescribed treatment worked or not. To be fair, no doctor seems to do this, but in my opinion, they ought to.

Very satisfied with her as my primary doctor

Every time I see Dr. Dizon she comes sits and immediately wants to send me out of her office, there are no questions/exams or record checking. Las time I saw her I had been to the ER the day before the ER advice me to see my primary doctor immediately due to some abnormalities in my lymph nodes (might be cancer) I was told. I was able to get an appointment the next day with Dr. Dizon just like the previous time nothing was done I waited for her to mention the results from the ER but she never did she was ready to show me the way out when I asked her if she was going to do anything about the abnormalities found in my lymph nodes. She said no it's nothing I could not believe it I told her that it could be cancer per the ER doctor. She looked upset because now she had to do something about it she told me that she had to consult with another doctor and will get back to me later.
