To the Author of the Review "Adderall" your review was completely inappropriate. I'm in medicine (Pain Management) so I deal with patients abusing their medications.....they are very good at hiding it. I highly, highly doubt your sister came into this doctor's appointment and volunteered "I'm a drug addict...please prescribe me Adderall." Unfortunately, mental health (like pain) is subjective, there is no lab test to diagnose it. And to answer your question on how this provider knows if someone "truly has ADD/ADHD".....well, let's see....how about having to have over a decade of graduate school, residency,fellowships!!!! Just for the record, I don't know this provider. I'm new to SC and was looking for a Mental Health provider for my daughter....who has ADHD. Unlike your sister (who has a disease, by the way....you don't seem to concerned with that- only concerned with placing the blame) my child needs these medications. Without them, and providers like this one to prescribe them, my… daughter's quality of life is so poor it is heart breaking. You didn't help anyone with your review. You could've discussed your concerns with the provider (though due to confidentiality, she couldn't have given you any information but I'm sure she would've listened) and then maybe your sister could've gotten the help she needs....for her disease! (Note: In order to put this review in, I had to give an overall rating for this doctor or else the system wouldn't accept it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and gave her four stars, but I really can't say that for certain because I haven't met her.)

she prescribed adderall to my sister, without sufficient information. My sister has abused substances substantially in the past. Are doctors taught how to review patients medical history?? thank you doctor because of you my sister has been abusing it since the day you gave it to her... she has been hallucinating and acting very VERY odd (borderline dangerous). Doctor, i ask you: how do you know if a patient is truly ADD/ADHD?? if i were a junky, i would tell you anything for ADDERALL. HOW many appointments do you require before you make a decision on medication?? I was completely dumbfounded when i found out my sister was prescribed adderall, esp. with her drug abuse background. This could potentially be mal-practice... in fact my unprofessional opinion it is. thank you doc. for you "help".
