Dr. Carol Christine Cornelius, MD

This is for Dr. Carol Cornelius and the two front desk staff. The Family Medicine are very unfriendly if you have a complaint or suggestion they do not help what so ever and I fee that they might even hold a grudge. We were late by a few minutes and told that they have to reschedule the appointment and that the doctor was with another patient. SAY WHAT we were not even 10 mins late, so i asked if the take walk-ins and they said "No", then i asked that was the policy for being late, they said 15 mins I dropped of my mother-in-law and wife so they could get to the appointment then i parked and walked in and when I arrived it was only 13 mins so i asked how could she be with another patient if our appointment was now and they do not take walk ins, and we weren't even past the 15 min mark and they put another patient in before there policy (I asked that time the patient went back but the tried to say that that is covered under HIPAA and they could not tell me. what time the patient… went back to see the doc has nothing to do with HIPPA. HIPAA is (Protected Health Information. The Privacy Rule protects all "individually identifiable health information" held or transmitted by a covered entity or its business associate, in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral. “Individually identifiable health information” is information, including demographic data, that relates to: -the individual’s past, present or future physical or mental health or condition, -the provision of health care to the individual, or -the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care to the individual, and that identifies the individual or for which there is a reasonable basis to believe it can be used to identify the individual.13 Individually identifiable health information includes many common identifiers (e.g., name, address, birth date, Social Security Number). How would that time the went behind a closed door Identify some one. I ask to speak with the doctor and they said she couldn't walk with us. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they got one who was much more understanding and listen and correct it so that we could see the doctor and it was less than 30 mins later. A time before all of this my wife arrived on time was taken back to the room and then they left me there for an hour and half she just waited there as if the forgot her) Well, we should have know not to complain as we had to get referrals to see other doctors from Dr. Cornelius (like they say Never send food back to the kitchen) Fast forward a few days as we show up to our referral and low and behold Dr. Cornelius never got the authorization for the appointment so they want to cancel it (We got a call on Friday and were told this so we called to make sure it was covered and so easy one call and we were 100% covered) Now Tuesday since the doctor never call the referral office wants cancel so we again have to talk and talk to a supervisor who says that Dr. Cornelius office never sent the request. I went to her desk to ask what happened , they said they are back logged on paperwork all the way to the 15th (today is the 29th) Wow so if you have an appointment between that time you out of luck (as if they would care I truly believe) So now we are wanting again for to get fit into a appointment. Arch you really need to look at how patients are taken care of here, sit in your lobby and see for your self. You lost a patient of 18 years as the past 2 years your Quality has dropped drastically. We did prefer to come here but now thats not happening.

Dr Cornelius listens to you and that's the most important thing for me, but every single time I've been there her nurse makes mistake for my referrals, everytime I have to call back and wait hours!! She is very nice and polite but cause a lot of work for me! Ex. She called me and referred me to go to radiology and I went immediately but she had not sent the paperwork yet and I had to wait so long! The other time she sent my name wrong to the specialist and when I called to make an appt they didn't have me in their system.. another time she was supposed to send me the detailed test result and she only sent a letter saying my test was normal! everytime I go there I have to call back foe her mistakes! and I hate the fact that they don't have a direct number and in order to talk to the nurse of my doctor I have leave messages with the receptionist! and makes it very hard to cotact them immediately and that really bothers me! I have to change my doctor for that reason, casue you need your… GP to be available when you need them!

I have had lots of doctors, And worked in two hospitals for twenty years,Did not like most of them, But DR.Carol Cornelius is the BEST! She dose not act like she is some kind of god and better then the patient.
