Dr. Carol Mary Cox, MD

Dr Cox is supposed to be a primary care doctor, but she doesn't seem to gain in site to a patent's condition even after a fair discussion of symptoms is made. As a primary care doctor she says she cannot prescribe pain medication. This makes me wonder if she has violated some medication guidelines.

Been seeing the Doctor for a few years now. On this latest visit, my heart rate was fast and I just felt weak and at times dizzy. I was urinating a lot too. Had an Exam and was ordered many blood and urine tests. Doctor Cox listened to me and showed she truely cared. The staff were very friendly too. When the results from blood and urine came back, the Doctor called me personally! Still waiting to have a CAT scan to be scheduled for follow up, but I trust the Doctor and her staff to resolve this.

She cares and gives you all the time you need during your visit with her. I really like her computer print outs after each visit stating your history, meds, and followup instructions. She is super prompt and I am extremely happy under her medical care.

Note: I have two hip replacements, very poor balance, and use a 4-wheel walker. Dr. Cox refused to authorize a handicapped parking permit or home delivery of my mail. The walker requires space to unload from car, walking long distance is difficult for me, Neighborhood mailbox is one block away, over broken and rock strew sidewalk, risk of falling, even with walker. My sympathetic orthopedic surgeon provided both without hesitation or question. I would not only decline to recommend her, but would caution against choosing her.

I choose Dr.cox to address my challanging medical issues! But only could handle one, which I give her credit but when adressing other issues she said the problem was natural and the other issues seemed to be to much information for her and did nothing! She does female examines and is not qualified, has no idea what she was looking at but insist on doing the exam! She is pro medication and wanting to address issues in office for the money and the meds maybe for kick back from the Reps! She has a horrible dry personality and very homley!

Dr. Cox misdiagnosed a hernia I had. She treated me for irritable bowel syndrome; then I had to have emergency hernia surgery. Also, I went to her office with full-blown afib and she didn't send me to the hospital. I was admitted two days later on an emergency basis. I don't trust her ability to diagnose conditions.

Saw doc for a year after my husband died and came for an extended visit. Have fibromyalgia and she prescribed oxycodone which I had been taking for several years w/o even checking w/previous doc. I wanted to detox from the oxys and she insisted on giving me methadone for 3 months. Well when I went back the second month for the second prescription she told me she decided I wasn't a cronic pain patient but rather an addict and I would have to go to CODAC, a behavioral health center for meth addicts to detox from methadone. I have never been more scared and humiliated in my life and now my psychical and mental health are at risk. She just left me on my own to detox from a horrible (side effects are bad) medication and it's my own fault? I have never been treated so badly by a doctor. She did me much more harm than healing.

No bedside manner, no time to spend with you at appointments, can't remember why you are at her office. No glue what is going on from one visit to the next. Very rude. I will not be going back you her.

Needs to get her patients on a computer. Writes down notes.. Doesn't remember from one time to the next what medications your on. Reminds me of the way Drs. used to be in the country. Works alone with a assistant. If she's out of town, your out of luck. Just doesn't seem to connect with people in general. Too worried about the way the book says to do it. Too bad, she is a good dr. in dianosis, but doesn't get the rest of the puzzle.
