Dr. Cunningham received her dental degree from Loyola University Dental School, where she graduated with clinical honors and did a residency in hospital dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Decatur District Dental Society, where she served as president from 1994 to 1995. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and a candidate for her fellowship degree. She is also a member of the American Society of Osseointegration, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American College of Oral Implantology. She has received further advanced education at the Pankey Institute, where she has studied myofascial pain, the temporomandibular joint, and occlusion. Dr. Cunningham is married and has five children. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoys running, weight training, and gardening.

Dr cunningham has been my families dentist for over 25 years. She and her staff have always been helpful and our dental care has been superb. She has accommodated every dental crisis a family of 6 could throw her way. Even a kids broken tooth on Christmas day. I can't say enough about her and her staff. They are an awesome bunch.

I've been a patient of Dr. Cunningham for almost 30 years. Dr. Carol and her awesome staff take great care of me and all of my family. They embody what they say - "the gentle art of dentistry" in all facets of the experience. Going to the dentist doesn't have to be stressful!!

Dr. Cunningham is an outstanding dentist. She has excellent technical skills and runs an office with friendly and compassionate support personnel. My husband and I were referred to her by a long term Decatur resident who has knowledge of the best places for different needs. We were not disappointed. She is thorough and does excellent general dentistry. Her cosmetic dentistry skills are outstanding. I broke my front teeth in a bicycle accident in the 1970â??s and went to various dentists in other areas over the years. I had the teeth replaced four times, but never was completely satisfied. Dr. Cunningham explained all of the options prior to work and then spent a lot of time making these teeth natural looking and just right. I am finally happy with my smile. Go to this office and you will be happy with the work.
