Dr. Carol Harracksingh, MD

Stay far away. She is an absolutely awful doctor with terrible customer service skills to take zero responsibility for her own short comings. Dr. Harracksingh thinks it's appropriate to yell at new patients and berate them for missing an appointment. While her office fails to send any sort of confirmation for appointments or reminder phone calls. I couldn't imagine a more unprofessional and ill mannered approach to patient care.

I have been seeing Dr. Harracksingh for over 15 years. She is a warm and passionate doctor and I have recommended several women to see her. She delivered 4 of my grandchildren and was an excellent doctor. She assisted in helping my daughters sister-in-law who had an etopic pregnancy and it was a huge success. She followed with delivery of twin girls after 10 years of trying to conceive. Cudos to Carol Harracksingh

I found Dr. Harracksingh after I was desperate and ready to give up and give in to numerous health ailments. In the last 10 years I have seen hundreds of doctors, to no relief. When I met Dr. H, i immediately felt I was being heard for the first time. She was attentive, sincere and very thorough. I've known her over a year and I feel much better about my journey to health. I feel I am in good hands. Although there is a bit of wait in her office, it is worth the time because she gives you her full attention.

I have been using Dr Carol for 17 yrs. She used to be wonderful> Now she is very rude and nasty. She is horrible to her staff. Speaking of the staff, they let you know they hate their job with their nastiness. I finally decided after all these years to find a new doctor. When I called to ask if Dr. Carol received my request to transfer my medical records she was so so nasty about it. She yelled at me telling me I had to wait 4 weeks for my records and they would not get sent until I paid $.75 per page. I asked if she could remove my form from the fax machine since it had my personal information including my SS number. I am already the victim of identity theft. She screamed at me and told me she didn't have time to deal with me. Call back later. Mind you this is the doctor herself on the phone. I cant believe that she would treat a patient that has been so loyal so badly. I have to travel an hour to see her but used to think she was worth it. I don't know what happened to make this… woman so bitter!!!

MY RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DOCTOR WAS GREAT. SHE TOOK HER TIME TO GO OVER ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. SHE HAS EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNER. I AM CURRENTLY SEEING HER IN HER INTEGRATIVE PRACTICE AND I AM VERY IMPRESSED. I LOSS 15 POUNDS. SHE IS AMAZING.

It appears my experience with Doctor Haracksingh has been the same as that of other disappointed patients. She initiated a treatment with me that was interrupted by her lack of follow up. It's time to find a new doctor!

The office wait is usually over an hour, and the time with doctor always felt rushed. She yells at staff in front of the patients. One time I waited for over an hour to see the doctor about bloodwork results, only to be told the bloodwork was lost, and I had to COME BACK ANOTHER DAY to have my blood drawn again. The final straw came when she started selling me vitamins and hormone pills from her fridge, and advertising her holistic workshops, when results of blood work could have provided timely and reliable diagnosis for my problem. Conflict of interest anyone? Glad I went to another GYN for a second opinion! I would advise anyone to stay away from this doctor.

This woman is an absolute nightmare. Very arrogant with no bedside manner and takes you an hour after your appointment. Forget about getting your prescription filled when your running low, might as well call a month in advance since she takes forever to fill it for you. Her fees for hormones are insane and she treats staff like garbage

I have been a patient of Dr. Harracksingh's for over 20 years and finally just left her practice. She delivered my son and was fantastic during my pregnancy but you always had to wait for her. She was never on time and my time is just as valuable as her time. The staff overbooks and there are 3 appointments at the same time. It was impossible to make an appointment that worked for me. I find it very uncomfortable when you go to the office and the entire staff is talking about Dr. Harracksingh and how rude she is to the staff. I think she is a great dr. but there are many great drs. out there. If you have the time to sit around and wait for her to show up for her appointments then that's great but most of us don't. I always liked the staff but obviosuly they do not like there job there and that makes it an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Chaotic office, rude staff, wait times over one hour are common, hard to reach by phone for any reason. Dr. H. has a corner on the market in Northern Westchester in certain practice areas, but look around and you'll find someone who offers those services in a professional and respectful way.
