Dr. Carol Maria Lovins

Dr. Lovins is the best OBGYN in southeastern Indiana. She delivered both of my children. Saved mine and my sons life. She did a few surgeries on me. She and her staff were aways kind, professional and courteous. They valued my time. They listened to me. They took amazing care of me.

While waiting in my room, during the height of the covid pandemic (when no one was allowed a visitor) the ultrasound tech (Deb) was picking and choosing who she would allow to have a partner come into the ultrasound room. Which was against covid regulations at that time. I asked why I witnessed several people bring husbands and mothers (the patients' mothers, not the pregnant patient) but i was denied, and I waited for an answer in my room. I could hear the ultrasound tech loudly gossiping about me and stating my information while doing so, breaking HIPPA. I opened my door and said that it wasn't professional and I didn't appreciate her gossiping (loudly) in the hallway about a patient (me), and said she made me uncomfortable. She threw her hands in the air, laughed, and walked away yelling about how she didn't have to service me, and then denied me ultrasound care. Doctors and nurses spoke to her in her office and she continued to deny care. I reported her, and now all the doctors… (who are friends with the tech) have withdrawn care from me. 2 of the doctors I've spoken to 1 single time, more than a year and a half ago (Parker and lovins). I had no issues with the other doctors until I reported their friend (the tech). The statement they made was, "Unable to develope a relationship with the patient." I had 1 small issue with Adams when she told me I was taking it personally and too sensitive when I asked why I witnessed several patients with a support person, but I was being denied, however she went on to be my primary for my first pregnancy, seemingly with no issue. Now I worry about issues she may have ignored due to this mob mentality. I find it very convenient that 2 physicians (Lovins and Parker), that I spoke to 1 time over a year and a half ago, decide to discriminate against me after I report their tech for unprofessionalism and breaking HIPPA. If you ever experience abuse from a doctor or caregiver in this office, apparently they want you to shut up and keep it silent, and to definitely not report it. I wonder what other abuse women have experienced in this office that has gotten swept under the rug, or how many unborn babies have suffered due to their high-school drama, clique mentality, abuse, and neglect? I personally know of at least 1 other.

Dr. Carol Lovins is the best OB GYN I’ve ever had. She is an experienced and qualified professional doctor who is also thorough, knowledgeable and caring. She takes a genuine interest in the well being of her patients. We recently relocated to Las Vegas and I hate the fact that I can’t continue to her as my doctor ! Hope to find someone here who even comes close to her ! Sue A.

I was seen by Dr. Lovins assistant on my 1st visit and she stated that more testing was needed based on what my primary Doctor had already done. Scheduled my 2nd visit and the testing that she stated needed to be done only part of it was completed and she treated me like I was wasting her time. No other appointment was required and after speaking with my primary Doctor he was upset due to my condition medication should have been prescribed to help with my PCOS, he prescribed the medication and needless to say I have a new OBGYN who has taken the time to schedule the proper test and has already discussed other options with me for my already scheduled follow up visit. During my visit with Dr. Lovins office I did not see her at all and only her assistant. The office staff were very nice and respectful but I can't say the same for the assistant and since I never seen Dr. Lovins I can only image that she was less than helpful in my diagnosis, which was provided to me by the testing my… primary Doctor had already completed.

I was a teenager with my first child and let me just say I was treated 100% better throughout that entire pregnancy 8 years ago than anything I've experienced with Lovins. I am so upset with the lack of care or even concern for the health of my baby during this pregnancy. FINDING A NEW DOCTOR!

i had pregnancy medicaid on top of Anthem. just has a c-section with Dr Lovins a week ago and i have to say that the prenatal care, the c-section and the after care has been amazing!!! may i emphasize CARE!!! I never felt rushed and she always asked two or three times during a visit if had any questions or concerns. Before and during the c-section she made me feel very much at ease and explained every thing to me. i wish i would have had this dr with all of my children.
