Dr. Carol Ann N Miller, MD

Pediatric Primary Care Dr. Carol A. Miller is medical director of the Well Baby Nursery and Pediatric Primary Care at UCSF Children's Hospital. She joined UCSF in 1989 after working for 10 years as a pediatrician. Today, her patients include the second and third generations of families she treated as a young doctor. Her special interests include the primary care of infants and children with high-risk conditions as well as caring for patients from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles characteristic of the Bay Area. She also enjoys working with residents in the care of pediatric patients. Miller earned a bachelor's degree in biology and medical degree at Stanford University and completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at what was then Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco. She also completed a fellowship in neonatology at Mount Zion. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the California Association of Neonatologists. In the community, she …participates in the San Francisco Immunization Coalition, Black Infant Health Improvement Project and Universal Maternal-Infant Nurse Home Visiting Project. Miller is a clinical professor of pediatrics in the UCSF School of Medicine, where she serves as a student mentor.
