Dr. Carol A Strickland, MD

This was my first visit for my annual well-woman. I was initially unhappy because insurance change required I change my GP. However, Dr. Strickland explained every question, procedure and recommendations clearly. I have never had such a thorough physical. They also have a lab in-house so there is no need to go to another location and wait some more AND prescriptions can be ordered through their patient portal on-line and are called in promptly! They also have email with which you can contact the doctor and/or staff. In today's world, these added benefits are priceless.

Dr. Strickland is a no-nonsense Doctor who cuts straight to the facts. She tells me what she thinks/knows and doesn't sugar coat things. I like this in a Doctor personally, but can see how some may not. She takes a more wholistic/lifestyle approach towards treating problems as opposed to a "take some pills" approach. I like this as well. If there's something that I can do (i.e. exercise, drink less wine, etc.) that will enhance my quality of life versus a pill, I'll take the former every time. I'd recommend Dr. Strickland if you like a no-nonsense Doctor who's first reaction isn't to put you on a list of medication.

She does everything. A one stop shop. This is what I like the most. I don't have to go to a separate specialist for my well woman exam or my sinuses or my tendonitis. I have been going to Dr. Strickland for about 4 years. You have to get used to her attitude, and I think it's getting worse the longer she practices. She tends to have a condesending tone and a "I don't have time for your nonsense" attitude. If you can get past that, she's actually a very good doctor. However, if you are taking a complex set of medicines like I am, she'll eventually ask you to see someone else. She knows a lot about the common problems, but you'll have to go somewhere else for anything chronic.

Dr. Strickland is a gem, I'll recommend her to anyone. She is both professional and caring. She takes her time with me in answering questions and educating me on any health issues and concerns. She genuinely care for her patients and their family members.I'm lucky to have her.

Outstanding doctor.

Dr. Strickland has the rare gift of giving both personal and professional care. While connecting in a personal way, she is diagnosing and giving information in a straight forward and easily understood manner. Because of the program I was in and her popularity, I was not able to see her. When my circumstances changed, I was able to become her patient and I've never been disappointed.

Dr. Strickland is very, very thorough. She makes sure she has all the facts before making a diagnosis. She's patient, and a very good listener. She never rushes through an office visit, always spending ample time for a thorough examination. She always updates my history, family dynamics, etc. I like being able to have my annual physical and well-woman in one visit.

Dr. Strickland listens well. She isn't quick to hand you a prescription and get you out the door. She explains options (preferably non pharmaceutical) and listens to questions and concerns. I am very happy in her care.
