Dr. Carola Eugenia Robinson, MD

I gave birth for the first time in 2015 to my daughter. Dr Robinson, at the time last name was Bagnarello and she was located on 30 union. I went into labor at around 11pm, she was obviously annoyed and seemed upset she had to be bothered at that hour. She tried to get me to have a c section. I had only been pushing for an hour and declined. My baby’s vitals were fine. She then did a sneak episiotomy on me without discussing it with me or telling me what she was about to do. I have later learned episiotomies vs natural tearing can lead to 3rd or 4th degree tears more often and require longer healing. This was in 2015, hopefully her discussing a procedure like cutting a patient is now part of her patient care and hopefully her bedside manner has changed for the better. But felt compelled to leave this here to hopefully help someone else. If birthing naturally when able or your Dr discussing procedure with you before they happen instead of just making the decision ( again there was no… urgency, baby’s vitals were fine) is important to you, she may not be the provider for you.

I am baffled that this person wants to work with pregnant women. I’m a pretty chill individual, and am lucky to have had very few personal conflicts in my life. I’m usually able to rationalize a person’s behavior and give a lot of leeway as I believe it’s normal for everyone to have an off-day. But the narcissistic superiority complex that goes into the belittling way she speaks to her patients- with absolutely no provocation- leads me to firmly believe that she should not be practicing in the capacity she’s in. Do research or something. But my god, she does not belong in any face to face interaction with vulnerable pregnant women. Her attitude is DAMAGING.

When I saw her she was Dr. Bagnerello at the time. At my first visit with her she made a rude remark to how my skin was discolored. I ended up in the hospital for bacterial vaginosis on a Saturday since I couldn't take it any longer, and during my follow up appointment she brought it up and asked me if I was sure that it wasn't an STD. Needless to say that was my last appointment with her.

Wow, I am really shocked at some of these other reviews. Dr. Robinson delivered my son recently and went out of her way to do so for me. She was not on call that day and I cannot express how grateful I am to her. Additionally, my son was circumcised and she did such a great job that several pediatricians have complimented her work. Previous to this experience, she was always very kind and compassionate in the office. She has a very nice disposition and her tone has always been very pleasant.

As a doctor she is good, but not professional and was rude to me. No one deserves to be treated with rudeness and disrespect!

She is a terrible doctor. Misdiagnose me ended up in 2 months of pain before i went to another doctor and had to have a hysterectomy. I told her what i thought it was and she dismissed me. She needs to listen to her patients.

All I can say is that woman is the rudest doctor I have ever met. She made me feel uncomfortable during the exam. Then proceeded to tell me all of my problems are caused by the fact that i am FAT. I have been the same weight for years without bleeding issues and I know when something is wrong with my body. I suggest if your weight is more than 200lbs don't go see DR. Carola Robinson!!!!!

Worst experience of my entire life!!dr bagnarello is rude and unprofessional should not be a doctor at all!!! Doesn't know how to talk to a patient! If I could give this zero stars I would! Wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy!

I am a 75 year old woman who because of a bad experience with a previous physician had not been seen by a gyn in over 20 years. A medical concern prompted this appointment. Dr. Bagnarello immediately eased my anxiety. She spent considerable time, thoroughly explained the procedure in a supportive caring manner. She offered options and allowed my input and choices. She step by step explained what was to happen next ,her approach very gentle. My experience was positive and I would highly recommend Dr. Bagnarello
