Dr. Caroline Ho

Caroline Ho, D.O., was driven to become a physician by her passion for helping people and tackling intellectual challenges. Caring for the whole person and advocating on behalf of her patients are central to how she approaches her work.Dr. Ho's clinical interest in infectious diseases is the care of immunocompromised hosts with infectious complications, including patients with hematologic malignancies and stem cell transplants. Her research focuses on optimizing preventative strategies for cytomegalovirus, one of the most common infections after transplantation, as well as improving therapeutic options and treatment outcomes for patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease.While earning her osteopathic degree at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Dr. Ho received the Francois T. Hoang Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence. Before medical school, she worked in a lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and co-authored a study in Science that established a …role for melanocortin receptor accessory protein 2 (Mrap2) in the development of obesity.Raised in Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley, Dr. Ho is honored to give back to the community in which she grew up.
