Dr. Carolyn Ann Bowles, MD

I was referred to her by my functional medicine doctor for a second opinion and to find out how she would treat me through alternative/ functional medicine. Basically was told to stay with the provider I was seeing that she agreed with their diagnosis and she wouldn’t change the treatment plan. Disappointed with the results of the consultation. I was willing to make changes and follow an alternative treatment plan to get off of the heavy duty drugs but she wouldn’t offer any assistance. Very strange experience and waste of time and money.

Dr. Bowles showed me that I am in control of my own healing. It's like a miracle. All my pain is gone, and I even experienced relief from symptoms I thought were unrelated. It's requiring me to drastically change my life forever, but I don't have to take any prescription drugs for it. I see some negative reviews, and I can't help but think that these are from people who don't want to hear they that they have work to do to heal themselves,. Dr. Bowles is a functional medicine doctor. If you are looking for someone to prescribe a drug that will make it go away, she is not the doctor for you. If you are ready to take back your life and start living again, pain and symptom free without the use of drugs, she will change your life. But you have to be ready to hear what she has to say and follow her advice to the letter. She spent 2 hours with me, going over all my recent medical tests results, which I brought with me. In that time she listened, diagnosed me, and prescribed a course of… treatment that resolved nearly all of my issues - I started to see amazing results with a week! I sound like a commercial, but I want to shout from the mountaintops that I have experienced a miracle. More than a decade of pain is GONE! Life is great again!

Please, just seek help elsewhere. Her bedside manner was awful and her attitude extremely condescending. I went to her after moving to the area; I'd been diagnosed with RA years earlier, but she made it seem as though my previous doctors were inept, which I knew was not the case. After seeking a second opinion in the area my original diagnosis was confirmed. I'm afraid that the time wasted with her, and then having to go somewhere else, has only made my condition worse.

My rating says it all! I will recommend her to others!

Dr. Carolyn Bowles changed my life. She showed me that I had the ability to improve my health and take control over my life. I went from seeing a rheumatologist who refused to accept anything less than me taking strong medications with side effects that were often times worse than my symptoms to learning how to actually improve my symptoms. If you are looking for a rare doctor who is invested in your health, then I can't recommend her enough.

One of the least courteous, most condescending providers I have ever met with. Awful, humiliating experience.

I have never had a consultation experience like this one before. She kept asking psychological questions, asking me about my hopes for the future, fears, etc. I DIDN'T GO THERE FOR A SHRINK - I WENT THERE FOR A CONSULTATION ON MY ARTHRITIS!
