Dr. Carolyn Bialecki Carroll, MD

I felt rushed and like I was wasting her time. I had seen other providers in the past but felt I wanted a new start with a new MD. Well, apparently coming to her for help was a mistake as she stated" I don't like to fix other peoples mistakes"! Very rude and felt like I was being scolded the whole 5 minutes she gave me which she seemed aggravated by. I wanted a mole check as I have had some scares. She looked quickly at my back and said your fine. Um what about my whole body and she said you need to point out problem areas! She then mumbled to the PA and told me to have a nice day then left. I looked a PA like is she coming back? Nope, PA asked to me follow up in 3 months with all my concerns!! I guess I had too many to care about at this visit!! As a healthcare provider I am so disappointed and will not be seeing her again. I left that visit confused with nothing accomplished. Waste of valuable time off from work! So sad as I had high hopes! Wish I read these reviews beforehand!

There's a right way and a wrong way to interact with clients. The desk persons interact the wrong way. Courtesy is always in order, because it is not their place to act otherwise. The desk persons make uncalled for, insulting and defensive remarks because their egos obviously supercede client courtesy. One also asserted her own opinion about a client's insurance, which I found appalling and far beyond the scope of her clerical duties. I love Dr. Carroll, but those two definitely made me reconsider. What a shame.

My experience with Dr. Carroll was very unpleasant. She was very short with her diagnosis. Also she was not very interested in caring for me as a patient I noticed that because she didn’t ask about my skin care routine and the products that I was using and causing itchiness and acne. At the end of the appointment which was less than 10 minutes, she prescribed me a cream and her nurse gave me a bunch of samples without any instruction. Also, instead of calling the prescription in to my regular pharmacy, her assistant insisted that we use an online pharmacy that was supposed to deliver the medicine to my home within 2-4 days. It has been 2 weeks, I still don’t have my medication and I’ve had to call their office twice in order for them to send the script to my regular pharmacy.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Dr. Carroll — firstly, I went in for a follow up and was asked for yet another copay .. I had asked the reception if it would be alright if i called my insurance company before I gave the copay since i in recent past I had had several copays returned to me, because they hadn’t been required after all (from other MD’s but nonetheless i wanted to be sure). I guess it’s probably required for her to run to the doctor with this information —- When the MD came in the first thing she said was “I just want to clear the air - you do have a copay today” Inappropriate!! Then the doctor and I proceeded to discuss a basal cell removal - I was more than well aware there was to be a time to get something done to remove this — she only pushed for the MOHS —- I had one in the past and it was extremely painful and long recovery on my ear - i had also had what another MD thought was a basal cell removed from my arm which turned out to be nothing,… but that physician’s procedure for a pin point size of a questionable area left me with a 3 inch ugly scar on my arm that is painful to this day —- so needless to say i am hesitant and was hesitant to get this removed — yes i realize it can grow but this spot is on my face and it is my body and i have a right to say when it will happen and possibly ask for a second opionion or other options — - this physican treated me as if i have done something wrong!!— She said I didnt get back to the office ...which I did on several occasions and clearly told the Nurse who called that I appreciated the results and I am thinking about it and deciding when i want to get the MOHS done. Even with this clear answer - I continued to get phone calls regarding this —- i told them i understand about the results several times —- all they have to do is document a “clear understanding verbalized by the patient” if they are worried about covering themselves for whatever reason—- after all is it not my body and my decision —- and as I said, there were several negative experiences with this in the past- — and I had definitely told this MD these things when I initially met with her — she obviously did not review the chart or never bothered to make a note of it - or was too rushed and didnt even listen in the first place — and since we are going there... back when this area on my face was found —- I am the one who had to point out the spot on my face in question after she had completed the spot check!! I have a busy life too and there had been more pressing issues than what was going on with a tiny area on my skin —in question - maybe she should consider the whole picture of the patient before she starts lecturing them on how they handle their own health issues. As i am in the health care industry as a Nurse - she proceeded to say “you are in the health care industry” to the effect of , you should know better...... She did not even discuss other options or go into why I was hesitant in the first place — there was just a push to get this done so she could “close the case”. — I dont like the pushy and rushed health care of today — it’s not my style, I dont provided that kind of care and wont accept if from others —- Needless to say they lost a patient ....

The nurse checking record of previous visits was quick and not very interested in hearing what was being said. The doctor was quick, disinterested and left the patient feeling they had intruded on the Dr's time by seeking medical advice and treatment. Two members of my family have seen Dr. Carroll, both have no desire to waste their time by returning. Both have experienced skin cancer in the past - a little interest from the Dr. would be appreciated. Quote, "she does not care if we return - with 15 minute appointments and very long waits for follow-up, she could care less".

How this girl still works there is beyond me! I have already complained She is miserable and whispers and down right unprofessional Made my family member so uncomfortable dirs not want to go back

Rude front desk staff. Doc has terrible rushed manners. Disorganized. Waited over an hour.

My credit card number was given out to the public. Not a trustworthy place.

I just recently had an initial appointment for my teenage daughter and left Dr. Carroll's office feeling dissatisfied. The staff at the office was great, very polite and efficient, and the wait time was excellent also. But I was uncomfortable with my experience with Dr. Carroll. I let my daughter handle her appointment hoping that she'd get some relief from an annoying scalp condition, some normal teenage acne, and a rash on her back. We had gotten a diagnosis for the scalp condition and back rash a few years ago from our former dermatologist who we loved but who has since retired. I was surprised when my daughter came back to the waiting room in less than 15 minutes and even more surprised when she said that she just had dandruff and the visit was over. I asked to see Dr. Carroll who was willing to talk with me. She hadn't taken a look at my daughter's back and did see and diagnose the rash when she looked at it. She also hadn't done a simple mole check and noticed a few moles on my… daughters back that she wanted to look at but I didn't observe her taking the time to really look at them. She rejected the diagnosis on the scalp condition from our previous dermatologist and commented that I should have come into the appointment initially because my daughter didn't talk very much. I asked about treatment for teenage acne and she indicated that we had taken too much time already (approximately 15 minutes) and would need to make another appointment to address that issue. I was expecting to have my daughter listened to, a good medical history taken, a mole check, and all of my daughters minor dermatology issues addressed. We didn't get that. I'm going to have to make an appointment with another dermatologist to get my daughters issues adequately addressed. I don't have confidence in Dr. Carroll's diagnoses.
