Dr. Carolyn May Castiglia, DO

She dropped me as a patient due to inactivity after being with her for over 12yrs and then said I would have to be a new patient but she’s not taking new patients. Her staff is horrific and rude as well as never answering the phones. Her best dr in her practice was Dr. Bedell and he left the chaos there too!! I’m following him and he got me in as a new patient with no problem. Save yourself from her, the terrible staff and impossible to get an appt. and the outdated & tiny office where you will wait close to an hour to be seen … that’s WITH appt!!

Garbage person to person care. I concur with all the other reviewers here. Before you find my criticism too harsh I want to say that the people you hire directly represent you so yes Dr. Castiglia is responsible for her employees actions as well as the procedural guidelines that are set up in her office. I was accepted as a patient and came in for a normal check up. Almost three years had elapsed. I felt good and had no health issues. Work schedule had prevented me from coming in for a check up since. Recently I had developed a concerning medical issue. I called her office only to find out that I had been dropped as I patient because I did not give them enough business. Frankly just wanted to explain my situation to her. I was then told by the secretary that I was not considered one of her patients any more and she would not be able to speak to me. Just want to speak to her for 5 minutes when she got a chance or even the next day or two. I was told to go to urgent care if it was that… serious. The secretaries attitude was cringe worthy. She would say things like you said that all ready, you said that all ready. I was 100% polite and cordial until the end I could not take her flippant attitude any more.. If they dropped me as a patient it would have been courteous to send me a letter saying so this way i could have started looking for someone else and not be blind sided by this under less then ideal circumstances :(

3 plus years ago I went in for a physical, blood work and never heard anything back. 1 week later I was very ill. I had Leukemia and they never called me to tell me my bloodwork was off the wall, Sad to say the records showed Dr. Castiglia signed off on my bloodwork results. UNACCEPTABLE. The staff does not have a clue as to what they are doing. Bottom line, its her practice and she is responsible for everything that goes on in that office. Use another doctor.

Diagnosed my very serious illness so early, I have an excellent chance for a cure. Very caring.

Waiting 2 hours in waiting room seems to be the norm. Dr. is great ! Wait time is brutal !!

Dr. Castiglia had always helped and cared for our family. A very caring doctor.

She is arrogant and think she knows everything. She failed to Diagnos my Lupus and said my pain was subjective. I am a Veteran I think I know pain and she was minimizing my pains. The staff is no better can't get the right labs they never do referals for specialist on time

Dr Castiglia has the potential to be a good doctor, but she tends to over prescribe drugs and is not open to any natural treatment methods. I asked for natural ways to treat anxiety and was told there are none. She pushed Konolopin and Zoloft rather than looking for alternatives. I'm happy to say that I was able to overcome it naturally. It was all due to a high dose of thyroid meds which she failed to identify.

Dr Castiglia is by far the best doctor I've ever seen in my 60 years on this earth. I don't understand any negative reviews. She is very intelligent and provides an accurate diagnosis every time. She has even helped me when a specialist couldn't. I highly reccommend this practice and doctors.
