Find her an excellent doctor! Answers questions, makes referals when necessary. She definitely cares about her patients.

I had a visit with Dr. Crosby a few months ago. I left the appointment unsettled and distraught. She was far from compassionate. In fact, she should not be practicing any longer as she has lost her empathy towards patients. I am not alone in my feelings. Many of my friends from Meredith feel the same or had similar experiences with her.

Dr. Crosby takes the time to listen to her patients. She treats you as a whole being, not a bunch of discrete parts. It is because of her listening and interviewing skills that she makes the connections others don't recognize. She trusts you and your knowledge of your own body. I recommend her without hesitation. The medical profession needs more just like her.

Dr C has been my primary for 15+ yrs. She is a smart and very caring person. She listens and hears what I have to say. There is none better.

I was experiencing bad blood circulation in my feet. Dr. Crosby said, "nothing serious for someone my age(75)." I did extensive internet research and found that one of the prescription medications she had me on could be contributing to the problem. At an office visit ask her about this and she did not know.Offer to do her own research - NO. I informed her I was coming off the medication and she gave me the schedule to do so. Has this helped my situation - YES. Goes to show you have to do your own research on medical problems in this era of "drive thru" medicine. My husband has the same doctor(?) and he started showing signs of early stages of dementia. Family and friends, particularly one friend of over 30 years who is an ARNP, noticed the changes. After learning from my experience, I researched the internet on dementia and found symptons listed correlated to my husband's symptons. Put this all in writing for the doctor and both my husband and I went into see her. She gave him a… couple verbal tests and felt there were no signs of dementia. She disregarded my, our family and friends, including the ARNP who knows my husband far better than the doctor, findings and everyday living actions and conditions that show early signs of dementia. He has his good and bad days but his condition is worsening. Does the doctor care - obviously not!!!!Unfortunately my husband will not go for a second opinion because he believes the doctor. Of course, in his mental state how would he know differently. Once again I say - do your own research!! Even if the doctor doesn't know and see the condition to diagnose the problem, the internet will give you info and help as to what to do. We are at the mercy of a horrible medical system and decline in our country.
