I felt this doctor did not appreciate my intelligence and research. She talked down to me and changed her explanation of surgeries from one appointment to the next. As a stage three breast cancer survivor she made me feel very uncomfortable

Dr. De la Cruz seems like she takes her breast reconstruction surgeries very seriously but i’d trust an orthopedic surgeon to do a better job with a breast reduction than she did. Asymmetrical, shoddy suturing, weird leftover nipple tissue at the very bottom of one of my breasts. She made no apologies and didn’t offer to fix anything . If they mess up, you’re stuck with the results so please go elsewhere as other surgeons offer you a guarantee/free fix when & if they mess up.

Dr. de la Cruz, and her staff, have helped me to navigate through, one of the worst times in my life. Very professional, with the utmost respect, and personal care.

All this doctor does is reconstruction, and she is simply the best in Pittsburgh. I am thrilled with the results - I I have my figure back, and as anyone who has suffered through the trauma of a mastectomy knows, this is GREAT! Her work is amazing, and the results are terrific. While nothing can undo the disfigurement of a radical mastectomy, Dr. de la Cruz's work comes wonderfully close. She is friendly, professional, and extremely competent. I cannot recommend her highly enough. You may wait to see her - she is in such demand that her office is always crowded, but she is worth the wait.

After suffering through breast cancer and all that it entails, Dr. De La Cruz performed an incredibly detailed tram flap microsurgery on me, lasting 18 hours. I am small-many doctors would not even consider this surgery for me-most could not execute it properly. Dr. De La Cruz is a truly talented surgeon. It has been 5 years, and her work remains intact and as natural as possible. Thank you!
